You work as a scribe to the church of Abadar under a young cleric named Ishani (Gain 1 rank in any Knowledge (skill)), who is very kind. A few months ago you and Ishani caught a group of young vandals trying to steal from the coffers of the church, you were given a tip by a boy named Kylar (John's character). You and Ishani rewarded him and spread the word to him. You often watch Ishani preach on the street as it is overrun by the poor and as Ishani states, “a wealthy community is a strong community and we all must help the less fortunate.” You have seen a few older humans who are untrustworthy talking to the various street urchins, and it makes your stomach turn sour. One of these men is Gaedren Lamm, an elder man with a limp. The children seem to fear this man greatly. Your father is at the tavern often and is quite fond of ale. He is fast friends with a human man named Grau, who you like. As pay for the last 2 years of scribing you have saved 20 gp, it is safe within the vault of Abadar a local bank. Two years of diligent work at the Church of Abadar have repaid Baern well. He has learned much from Ishani, and he feels he has found his true calling: service in the name of Abadar. He begs Ishani to show him the ways of service to their god. Ishani, as any good cleric would be, is delighted, and shows Baern how to speak to the street urchins as he gives his sermons (Diplomacy) and how to tend their ills and give them comfort (Heal). In this way he also gets to know Kylar a bit better as well as a younger lad named Petrus. (3) Simple/Dwarven Weapons (Crossbow) (DEX) – No Stat Roll
Baern’s family is also making efforts to teach him of his Dwarven heritage. His father and older brother teach Baern to use Dwarven weaponry (Dwarven Weapons) such as the hammer and the Dwarven crossbow, though his lessons do not always go smoothly. His mother teaches him the basics of the family business (Appraise), and his quick mind seems to make better progress on such lessons than his underdeveloped muscles did of the weaponry lessons. Baern himself became a bit more of a realist than an idealist, but he is convinced that he must do something to resist the slum lords like Geadren. He also no longer goes about unarmed, usually carrying a cudgel under his robes. (1) Simple Weapon Training: Light Mace (STR) – Stat roll
The events of the last two years have left Baern feeling vulnerable. He trains with his father and Grau a couple times a week, learning both to better use the cudgel that he carries with him and to better use the crossbow. (3) 0-level Cleric Spell - Virtue (CON) – Stat roll
Baern is doggedly determined to become a better healer. Though he knows what he needs to do, his clumsy fingers often betray him, leaving him fumbling with bandages and ointments. Since that day attending to Savram where he experienced the strange feeling of power inside him, Baern has been trying to reach it again. It eludes him, however. Every time he starts to experience that strange tingling he starts feeling faint and dizzy. He has actually collapsed twice, but he feels that there is something important inside him, and he tries harder each time. Season 2 Events: Training rolls:

Baern Silverhead, [0-level male adult dwarf] STR 10, DEX 12, CON 14, INT 11, WIS 14, CHA 9 Total HP: 5 Season 3 Lead-In & Training Plan:
His family has grown since he began work at St. Casperian’s. He includes his charges at the Mission in his family now, and his newfound companions. However, with the death of his father, Baern has had to find a new patriarch to follow, and he has chosen Abadar, the god of civilization and order. While some view Abadar as a cold and calculating god, obsessed with wealth and trade, Baern has seen a different side to the Master of the First Vault. Abadar wants the prosperity of all to be uplifted, not just for the wealthy to become wealthier. Baern wants to take the blessings of order and prosperity to as many as his life will allow. The greedy, grasping individuals who take from others and exploit others sorrow for gain have no part in the civilization of the Master. One such is Gaedren Lamm. Though Baern has many personal grudges against the slum lord, there is now a higher purpose behind actions that Baern takes against him. Gaedren’s influence around the Mission devalues the life of all who live within it, regardless of his patronage. Though more funds are needed to keep the Mission open, then Baern will find a way to supply them without Gaedren. (1) Feat: Persuasive (CHA)
