A night attack is our best advantage, Assuming the bandits are mostly human we should take advantage of our ability to see in the dark. Connel can shoot into the light and we can draw them into darkness. If any of you can create water it can be used to dowse their torches as myself, Helgash and Korren take the advantage. I'm sure they will scatter once Korren and Connel start shooting into the camp. The time to strike is now, but if you need a day then so be it. I fear not these men.
A cave to the south you say. Hmmm... So if they are expected back tonight we should probably prepare to ride out and meet these bandits with force and the element of surprise. Baeling sits and prepares and does his special summoning ritual to summon up his celestial armor. Ah that is much better. Makes me feel young again.
Baelin comes up as Helgash walks away. Oh my, you lot have made him quite mad. I'm not sure if I can talk him down. I mean look at him he is half demon after all. He does not lie. We have been given a charter to explore these lands and by the charter banditry is to be met with execution. Now I know banditry is suomtimes what men fall too, but that is the easy path. We mush all strive to make things better for ourselves and for those around us. You see that is what we are doing here. We are to explore and make these lands safe for people to want to move out here and make their lives. If you men can offer up any information on your leaders and where your base of opporations are, well then I can make a deal with you. The deal won't be easy like taking whats not yours and murdering for profit, but one of working and building the land so that you can be proud to call it yours. If you can offer us the assistanc we need you can stay here and work and help Oleg to build up his trading post. You will have your lives and a place to stay. I can't promise you riches, but you will have our protection. What say you? diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
As the others are being tied up Baelin rides back in leading the other tired and bloody mount with him. The Bandit is unconcious layed and tied over the saddle. Well, that didn't go strictly according to plan, but we won the day none the less. Connel, could you care for these horses. They both got spured pretty hard. Did the leader make it? Or is he gone from this world? I guess we should find out their plans. They are most likely part of a bigger group. We need to know when they are expected back.
@Black Fang. If this requires some sort of check I will just move the 50' and stop this round and summon letting the eagle loose as it is much faster, I will then start the chase back. Baelin sees the bandit failing to spur his mount and decides its time to act quickly and end this. While he bears down on the bandit he extends his arm and says a word in his celestial tongue. With this a majestic golden wing eagle appears on his arm, with another celestial word and a flick of his arm the bird takes flight and swoops in on the rider. Charge Attack w/smite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
ok, so 50'. I assume we both are running 200ft a round? So I would need 2 made checks to over take him as the extra 10' movement would close 40' on the run. I'm just stating this to confirm these are correct assumptions. Thanks. If assumptions are correct we will try a few rounds to just run him down. Maybe the dice roller will be nice :)
it is trained only for the purpose of teaching. Quote:
Charisma check can be made to just handle as a move action Thanks for the link
move action to handle animal
Again speaking in the tounge of the angels Baelin digs his heels into the horse attempting to spur it forward. ride to spur mount: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Baelin fails to spur the panicked mount but takes off in a run after the fleeing bandit. I won't go far, I should be back in no more than an hour tops. Find out what you can. To DM: I will continue to pursue trying to spur the horse each round until I can catch up. If I knock my horse out befor catching up I will put it down and walk back. If I catch up I will be bull rushing or triping to knock bandit out of the saddle.

I thought you missed him. Didn't Black Fang post the 17 to hit was a miss? Either way it would have been nice. I hope my crit was a crit. This could be a long fight. Koren if you can, try and drop the one in the rear, Connel help as well go Theodronis can get over and shut the other door as well. We wouldn't want them bolting if we bring down Happs.
Baelin sees Helgash take another arrow and decides he must engage the leader. Withough hesitation he gains a spring in his step as he moves up to base the leader standing amongst all the bandits he leaps performing a super man punch to Happs ribs. move action to back left of Happs. Was not moved on the map from last round. Attack action unarmed strike Attack roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
The old man shows he has some fight in him as he runs up to avenge his fallen ally. I gave you a chance to settle this as men. Now you will face a terror like no other. Remember the name Baelin as it will be the one you share with the other fallen in the afterlife Hope no one dislikes my banter too much. I like talking with the bad guys while fighting ;). woops forgot to add in bless, changing attack bonus to +5 current status: AC 30, HP 15, DR 1/Evil
Baelin will summon up some arcane energy casting shield on himself before moving into base contact with the one at the door. swift into crane. at will shield spell (standard), Move to base. current stats:
AC 30, HP 15 DR 1/evil Throw down your weapons and be judged like men. Push this fight and you will die this day. I am Baelin Orvlosky, by charter banditry is a crime in these lands. This is your last chance. intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 check for dramatic effect :)
Good, it is settled then. Theodronis and I will take our positions to shut and bar the door. Helgash will wait and Korren and Connel take up sniping positions. Annik we wish you luck tomorrow. The rest of us should get some sleep so we may awake early to make any needed preperations. Good night all. With these last words Baelin gets up and heads off to get some rest.
I understand now what you are saying, but I don't know were you got the jump out and slay them idea from in the first place. I never intended to kill any of the men. All will be subdued if I can help it. I'm glad to see we all have roughly the same morals. he smiles putting a hand on Connel's shoulder
Exactly Theodronis, I am not a murderer and these are men, men that have lost their way and prey on the week, but still men that deserve a chance at forgivness. Though if they do not repint we are within the law to execute. I will not hold the sword that does it but I will not stand in the way of the law if they chose that path. I just don't want to give up our surprise by chosing to talk first. Are there any objections to this. I don't want to presuem to be in charge here. Please brothers if you feel different on this or have other plans let us discuss.
too bad the ground is probably frozen solid, I would have recomended digging a pitfall to capture 1 or 2, probably would have got the leader that way assuming he/she rides at the front, though it would have really messed up the horse, well in real life anyways luckin in pathfinder we have good old positive energy :)
Tyranny is a bit harsh. I'm just of the opinion that we can offer parlay after they have been subdued and tied up. The charter states quite clearly that they may repint and we then may chose what to do with them or if they do not repint then execution by sword or rope. That is if we are following the law of the charter.
