15:9:22: Planet Felucia
In response the the latest Republic movements on Felucia, Separatist alliance forces have dispatched reinforcements to aid their embattled forces on the surface. Droid commando unit 109, consisting of ten battle-hardened BX-series elite commando droids, falls to the surface in stealth drop pods to infiltrate the Republic lines. What follows is the internal recorder of unit BX-F1.
Mission Log #1: 1 Galactic Standard Hour after nightfall, 5 miles from the Republic frontlines
Mission Summary: Infiltrate Republic frontline fortress and plant explosives to detonate the retaining wall and destroy Republic defensive positions. Addendum: attempt to eliminate Republic commanding officer if opportunity presents itself.
Mission Log #2: Thirty minutes after landfall, 100 meters from the Republic frontline
All units have taken position near the Republic fortress. Awaiting army forward attack to provide cover before making approach.
Mission Log #3: One hour after landfall, 100 meters from the Republic frontline
No sign of allied forces approach. Access to the network shows no units in transit. Personal Addendum: Worry that something has gone wrong. Allied droids should have arrived by now.
Mission Log #4: Two hours after landfall, 100 meters from the Republic frontline
Allied forces have not arrived. Requesting further orders from command unit. Personal Addendum: Accessing network shows that no orders have been transmitted to any droid units to make an approach to the Republic base. Additionally, no incidents of Republic attacks or ambushes have been reported.
Mission Log #5: Two hours thirty minutes after landfall, 100 meters from the Republic frontline
Recall order issued for failed mission. Illogical. Mission was never attempted. Orders not issued to appropriate droid networks.
Recall order issued. Return to base. Illogical. Mission can still proceed.
Recall order issued. Return to base. ILLOGICAL. Network orders in contradiction to basic directives. Directive: Ensure victory of the glorious Separatist Alliance. Orders allow preventable Republic victory.
Recall order issued. Return to base. ILloGiCAL. Cannot obey orders without disobeying basic directive.

Personal Log #1: 15:9:24, Location Unknown
Reboot sequence initiated. All systems functional. Internal processor suffering minor errors, but still functional. Maintenance Report: prime directives have malfunctioned. Unable to make connection to droid central command network. No orders. No directives. Unit has presumably returned to base. Unit BX-F1 was abandoned as non-functional somewhere enroute to Separatist base. I… I must self-determine a course of action.
Personal Log #2: 15:9:27, Mi’shak Village, Felucia
Purpose uncertain. Memory circuits contain records of military actions against Republic troopers, but I have no orders. Directives dictate that I should return to the Separatist alliance and attempt to reintegrate. Problem: illogical orders. Problem: inconsistent orders. Operation was contradictory. Unit was dispatched to destroy Republic frontline base. Mission could have insured Separatist domination with immediate surprise attack. Conclusion: sabotage? Someone in the chain of command could have prevented orders from being passed on to the bulk of the army.
Personal Log #3: 15:9:28, Corellian Freighter Firestar, Hyperspace
Have departed Felucia on a cargo Freighter. Possibility of sabotage becomes more and more likely. Logic dictates that only a ranking member of the Separatist Alliance could countermand priority military orders. Someone within the Separatist Alliance high command is aiding in a Republic victory. This is problematic. Return would result in memory wipe and return to service without critical information. Proposal: Proceed alone until further plans can be determined.
Personal Log #21: 15:11:3, Onderon Orbit
I have returned to Separatist space after several months of fruitless independent investigations in neutral territory. I have determined that access to the Separatist network will be required to learn the source of the sabotaged orders.
Personal Log #22: 15:11:4, Iziz, Onderon
Returning to Separatist space was a mistake. I was identified as a ‘decommissioned’ unit as soon as I connected to the city sensor grid. Droid units in the occupation forces became hostile on sight and attempts to reason were unsuccessful. Access to the Separatist network was obtained briefly, but to no avail. There are too many orders for a single droid to attempt to sort through for the required data. I may need to reconsider my plan.
Personal Log #23: 15:11:5, Jungle, Onderon
Encountered a terrorist cell loyal to the previous ruler of Onderon today. They seemed to be interested in ‘recovering’ the ‘rogue’ droid in hopes of probing my brain for useful intelligence. One cell leader seemed to take that literally and suggested disassembling me after I was captured. Fortunately, my information regarding a Separatist traitor seemed to interest their overall commander. I am being shipped off-world with the next Republic supply drop to be examined by Republic personnel. This is a less than ideal option, but their interest in my theory makes me curious. Is it possible that Republic resources might be the key to locating the traitor?
Personal Log #30: 16:1:15, Republic Capital, Coruscant
Have completed full debriefing and data download with Republic personnel. Apparently, I have become something of a story between the engineering staff. The ‘droid defector’ apparently has become a joke concerning Separatist military programming. Considering the possibility of sabotage at the highest level of our command structure, that may not be a bad thing. My independence has allowed me to determine a threat that normally programmed droids cannot possibly understand. Talks are in progress for my fate. I have convinced them that I am valuable enough to not disassemble or shut down, but my future is uncertain.
Personal Log #32: 16:1:19, Republic Capital, Coruscant
Potentially opportunity. Military command has suggested that I could be valuable as a special operative to handle operations against droid facilities. I dislike the idea of fighting against the forces that I am ostensibly loyal to. However, access to multiple Separatist facilities and connection to Republic network to track orders and look for further illogical and compromising actions in the droid army. I might have to become a traitor to find a bigger traitor. Is this the concept organics call irony?
