Background:

Ayokintoch, or simply "Ayo" as he is affectionately known, was originally raised in northern Brevoy, in a small village called Grayhaven, nestled against the Golushkin Mountains. Born as an Aasimar to a human family, the young child was well loved and cared for.

One fateful day, when he was but a young child, a group of raiders came down from the north and sacked the town of Grayhaven. Ayo's parents were killed and the young boy was forced to survive on his own.

After many months, fending for himself, he made the acquaintance of a wise and gentle traveling monk by the name of Josten. The monk befriended the young boy and brought him to live in the garden filled and cloistered halls of a mountain side monastery known as the Windswept Citadel. It was here, that Ayo studied ancient philosophies and was trained to feel the flow and spirit of the natural world through the disciplines and ways of a Brother of the Four Winds.

After many years of this cloistered life, Master Kylak, one of Ayo favorite teachers, sent the young man away from the Windswept Citadel on a Soulwalk, a personal quest for enlightenment. With only the material possessions on his back, Ayo left his beloved home to go forth into civilization. Eager to please his masters and follow his own inner voice, Ayo decided to venture south into the wilderness of the stolen lands in search of where his destiny may lie.
