Naldoc Tisbane, youngest of two children to Willock and Vyssa Tisbane, who are struggling store owners in the town of <you tell me>. Naldoc was the runt of the litter, born premature but somehow survived. He has an older brother, Faldoc, who he very much looks up to as he is already a brave adventurer. A warrior, Faldoc was blessed with courage and a strong body, much like his father was before injuries and a chance encounter with Vyssa forced him to retire to the life of a merchant. He and his wife started the fledgling Tisbane Traders with what money he had earned before settling down.
After some time had passed, bad news had reached the ears of the Tisbane family. Their noble warrior, Faldoc, had fallen while exploring a dungeon called XXX. The family had begged Faldoc not to go, especially his father, who had attempted to delve the very same dungeon in his youth, losing a number of brave friends in the process. For generations the Tisbanes had tried to reach the vast wealth of the foul place, only to be turned away with death or great loss. Faldoc was too proud to be swayed and wanted to prove to his father that he could conquer the dangers held within. Now it seems the young man has paid for his boldness with his life.
The entire town mourned with the Tisbanes but Naldoc was especially devastated. His older brother and childhood hero had passed over to the great beyond, a seemingly impossible outcome to Naldoc. He never imagined that such a strong and courageous man like Faldoc could ever die so young.
A few days after the terrible news of Faldoc had been delivered, further news came that his body was not recovered from the depths of the dungeon. However, not only was his body lost but so was the precious family heirloom, a longsword that had been passed down for generations in the Tisbane family. The sword was not only priceless but powerful and knowing that the heirloom could be lost forever only added to the grief the elder Tisbane held for his eldest son.
And now, Naldoc prepares to seek out his own way as an adventurer, bravely (and foolishly?) attempting the same quest as his forefathers have tried and failed before. His quest would be different, instead of merely acquiring wealth, Naldoc seeks to recover both his brother's corpse and the great longsword of the Tisbane's legacy. Whether the sword has already been plundered nobody could know, however Naldoc was going to go find out.
