Ayaki has been lying since the day she was born. Her father was a charlatan,fleecing rich nobles while escaping authorities. Ayaki had to live with this, constantly changing names and faces, and moving around.Eventually, they escaped to a remote part of Varisia, where they could escape notice. Using his ill-gotten gains,her father made a name for himself. Life was quiet, except for a few close calls, until her father passed away. Agents of a rich noble he had ruined came for revenge. And if they couldn't hurt Ayaki's father, they would hurt his family. Ayaki went into hiding, changing her name,her face, and cutting of contacts with everyone. She made sure that no one knew who she truly was. Then she got the letter from Gildcrypt manor. It appears Lord Gildcrypt knows who she is.
