Aura (Ex): (Lawful Good)
Code of Conduct (Ex)
Divine Grace (Su): (a paladin gains a bonus equal to her Charisma bonus on all Saving Throws)
Lay On Hands (Su): (1d6, 4/day): (a paladin can heal wounds by touch. Each day she can use this ability a number of times equal to 1/2 her paladin level plus her Charisma modifier, healing 1d6 hp for every two paladin levels she possesses. Alternatively, a paladin can damage undead creatures, dealing 1d6 points of damage for every two levels the paladin possesses. Using lay on hands in this way requires a successful melee touch attack and doesn't provoke an attack of opportunity. Undead do not receive a saving throw against this damage)
The only daughter of traveling merchants of Ulfen descent, Aurora was born in the prosperous city of Magnimar, Varisia, western end of her parents' tried and true traveling route. It was both her parents' hope young Aurora would eventually grow up into a fine traveling merchant, just like three generations of their family did before her, but the young girl would have none of it, seeing the life of a merchant as boring and repetitive, and firmly convinced her future had to be elsewhere. Always considerate and kind-hearted, Aurora was however unwilling to disappoint her parents, and decided to keep her hopes and dreams for herself, at least till the right time, and keep following her loving parents in their long trading journeys to learn the trade, much to their unending delight.
It was years later, during a particularly long and perilous journey which saw the trio venturing all the way to the Inner Sea, to Cheliax, Andoran, Taldor and in the end, as far as the exotic land of Qadira, that the young girl was first exposed to the ideals of the Church of Sarenrae, and for the first time in her life she discovered a true connection with a faith's beliefs and way of living. Convinced she found her true call, she expressed her desires to her family, to be trained in the faith of the Dawnflower and become a holy warrior, and bring hope and light into the world.
Her parents were shocked to say the least, but after a while - and not a few tirades, especially from her father - they relented and allowed her to pursue her dream. They only thing they were adamant about was their daughter had to enter the care of the Dawnflower's temple of Magnimar, their home city, where they could at least be sure she'd be safe during her training.
The girl promptly agreed, and thus began her new life as a crusader for the light.
During that time, her training proceeded swiftly and unimpeded, and her talents and abilities grew to be noteworthy. On the other hand, her witty and irreverent attitude, even if mitigated by her solar disposition and overly kind nature, earned her frowns and some harsh treatment from the most serious and stern members of the order, who thought the young woman's attitude wasn't befitting her role as a holy warrior in the least.
When her training ended, both as a reward and a test of her mettle - and possibly even as a from of punishment for her lack of seriousness - she was sent to Caliphas, the capital city of the troubled land of Ustalav, where the local chapter of the Dawnflower's church was eager to receive fresh blood to bolster its ranks for the overwhelming task of freeing the region from any and all undead influence.
When the church received word that a small village not far from the Capital desperately needed help to rebuild after an undead outbreak, it was decided to sent a priest to help the villagers, and a capable agent to identify the source of the threat, and eliminate it.
By the unanimous decision of her superiors, Aurora was chosen for the task, and the young woman readily agreed.
Armed with fine steel and the fire of her faith, Aurora swore a sacred oath: put a stop to the evil that befell Perdition Point and avenge its innocent people, by any means necessary!
Appearance & Personality:
Uncommonly tall and slender, Aurora's long training has given her a strong and toned physique with noticeable muscles, without being too prominent. Ulfen blood strong in her veins, she possesses fair skin, light blue eyes, strong but pleasant features, and a long mane of stunning blond locks she is fond of keeping in many different and elaborate hairstyles.
Confident but not arrogant, solar and positive without being foolish or naive, irreverent and carefree and at the same time sharply focused and deadly serious if the need arises, Aurora is in many ways the perfect example of the dedicated noble warrior, and its exact opposite. Her peculiar personality has earned the young paladin her fair share of dear friends and bitter rivals over the years, but she doesn't seem to be worried in the least. In fact, she wouldn't have it any other way.
