Backstory:

Asami was born in Mendev, a nation heavily aware of the power of demonic entities, and it was into this mindset that Asami grew up in. With the 4th Crusade in progress, Asami trained with the sword, in defence of the region. Skilled with a blade, Asami followed the teachings of her patron, Shelyn, the goddess that strives to see beauty in all things. Asami, hating the fact that priceless artwork, or beautiful natural wonders were being tainted by the pollution of the Worldwound swore she would end the threat. Her parents however, both also fighting in the crusade, began to worry about their daughter. They had lived a life worth living, and feared that their only child was running headlong into a conflict with so much to lose, without being aware of the cost. Fully aware that as their child was 18 years old and largely independent, they would be unable to convince her to abandon her quest, they did the intelligent thing, appealing to her commanding officer, that as parents, they would be unable to concentrate on the battles ahead so long as their daughter was also fighting. Seeing the threat for what it was, the commanding officer diplomatically managed to convince Asami to join the Silver Crusade imploring her to rise through the ranks of the faction, join the Pathfinder society, while smiting evil where fit, and redeeming others who could otherwise be redeemed. In her spare time, the officer told Asami – she could continue to prepare herself for the Crusades, and would be accepted if and only if, Ollysta Zadrian herself granted Asami permission to leave the Silver Crusade, and join the crusaders in Mendev.
Behind the scenes, the solution pleased everyone. Her parents didn’t have to worry about their daughter dying so early in her life, the commanding officer as able to keep two of his finest crusaders, and Ollysta received a permanent recruit for the Silver Crusade, one that could stay with the faction effectively indefinitely, although no-one told Asami this. No-one was quite sure how long this would placate Asami, but the hope was that in joining the society, Asami would find an alternate way of serving, rather than fighting in the deadly crusades.

Appearance and Personality:

Asami is a brown haired, fair skinned aasimar, with sapphire eyes that shine particularly whenever she is feeling strong emotion. Conservative in dress, and not often seen without her glaive strapped to her back, Asami is sure to treat anyone of a higher rank with her with appropriate respect, as well as her fellow pathfinders.

In person, she often comes across as stern, a straight talker, one that struggles to find humour in casual situations. It’s not that the concept is impossible to understand, she just tends to be serious most of the time. Honest and trusting, Asami is fiercely loyal, especially to her friends, her faction, and her deity.
