History:
Artis Telmin is an escaped food/slave from one of the darkest corners in the vast city of Kavail. Exotic food is also an interest in such places and even monsters need to eat, however a beautiful friendship was found between the monsters and the gourmands of the city when the Ghoran race was discovered.
The sadists got a race they could torture to death and then do it again next week.
The gourmands got a influx of Exotic food with a flavor unseen previously.
The Ghorans on the other hand got captured and taken to distant lands to be repeatedly tortured to death, fed with the intent of them being eaten later. A unique sort of horror unheard of to more normal humanoids.
Artis lived in a carefully crafted prison under the grand hall of a place he still odes not know. His Uncle, Grandmother and sister lived in the same cell. through some clever manipulations they managed to get hold of a bottlerocket and force Artis and his sister Talis to expel their heart seeds prematurely. They fit through the gap in their prisons window and shot the explosive off into the distance.
Artis woke up in the depths of the swamp, was nearly killed by a hungry bear and gained the attentions of a passing tiwgjack named Redroot. Redroot took him to the queen in the swamp, an ancient Willow tree with blooms the color of blood and rust. The tree whispered to him in hushed tones. Artis ran from the place and went to go find his sister only to discover that she had been helped by a farmer for a week only to get sold out by the man.
The Ghoran returned to the swamp and bargained with the queen, and sacrificed all he could to obtain the promised power.
With the tree's blessing he awoke a Willow and slew the farmer who had send his sibling back to torture.
Two months of living alone and making no headway in his mission Artis seethes and bargains with the Smugglers guild of the city to become one of their grunts.
He eyes set on the future where this rotten city burns to the ground.
Appearance:
Artis lacks traditional hair but vines grow from his head in a facsimile of dreadlocks gathered in a thick bundle at his neck and ending just above the small of his back. His face actually being a massive number of tiny dark green petals all lifting or falling to give the illusion of muscles on a face. A pair of silvery pits taking the place of eyes. Plant that he is Artis's body is primarially made of interlocking segments of tough plant matter. Though the flesh on his hands chest and feet are a softer material. It is all a similar shade of green with the softer parts being slightly lighter in color.
Personality:
Prisoner and victim Artis is a tangle of insecurities and hatred. The young plant creature is driven and to the point but knows that if he lets his true emotions bleed thorough he will fail.
He finds such control hard to manage when trapped or forced into actions he didn't choose. He is very likely to lash back negatively when forced into situations as that.
