Sovereign Court

Technically, it's a pretty safe bet that Osirion did it first.

Chief among Osirion firsts: Stood by while their civilization died. Something Taldorans do not intend to do.

Arregus spent most of his life hiding with his family from the bloody mobs in Galt, dreaming of the day Taldor would reclaim that misguided and horrifying land and reinstate the surviving nobles. His father would pass the time by teaching him grand epic stories of the glory days of the empire. But the armies of Taldor never came.

Arregus, his sister, and his aging parents finally decided to flee that land for the safety of the empire. The escape went poorly and Arregus's sister was taken. The rest of the family hid in the Boarwood for days before crossing the Fog Peaks into the fertile valley near Yanmass. The mountain crossing nearly killed Arregus's father, and the welcome the family received in the old empire was underwhelming. After hearing the great epics, the true state of Taldor came as a shock to Arregus.

Inspired by tales of the past and years of his own confinement, Arregus has joined the Pathfinders to see the world. He prepares himself in the hopes that he will play some role in the reformation of Taldor and the restoration of its glory. And one day, perhaps, the Taldoran army will march into Galt, restore order there, and make the gutters run red with the blood of those murderers.

Well done.
Cheers! Pathfinder first!

This Taldar shall never poor. :-)

I have roughly the same setup. Makes me worry if Taldor is entirely a nation of wealthy bards. Someone will have to do the fighting around here.

This has been pleasant. Who am I? Why I've been here for hours, haven't you noticed? I have that effect on people sometimes. Find me after a few more glasses of this wine and I'll recite the Ballad of Margral, Head Chef of the Second Army of Exploration. It's a short one - only about two hours if I hurry and skip the genealogies - quite suitable for parties.

I see Krovak suddenly looks interested - is that because there is food or armies involved? Perhaps a little of both.
