Background: The household cat was a misfire for Armen. When he was trying to Bond with his shiny dagger, the cat was apparently too close, and the spell's energies attached to the Calico cat. Armen was going to end her life when his teacher found him and told him that now that the cat is his familiar if hte cat were to die there is a chance of "mystical backlash" and Armen might himself die in the exchange. He now guards the cat's life just as closely as his own, and in turn Gertrude has become his stalwart companion. Armen relates well with the cat's cavalier attitude towards life, and naps.

Armen is a tragically misunderstood young wizard. Those experiments he did when he was younger, the ones his mom found him conducting, were not meant to be cruel to the wildlife, but to help him learn how they worked. And once he found out the bits the needed to live, he stopped removing them. It wasn't his fault, his father should have been able to explain it better to him.

Also it is not his fault about the undead. His mentor could never express why it was "EVIIIL", and "Because it just is" is never a good enoug hreason for anything.

Armen calls his style of magic "Creationist". He is fascinated with magic's ability to create anything from scrolls, to golems, to vorpal pairing knives (Something he wants for stubborn vegetables). He is not evil (NE), he's misunderstood. And is as pious as any Paladin.

He's on this journey because his Mentor signed him up(hopeing he'd die) without his knowledge, but after some convincing of the "Untold items of POWER!" that he could find Armen is now convinced it has been his idea from the start.

Armen is a nondescript looking man, who preens over himself as much as any fop. Average height and of very slight and wiry build. His medium length brown har is always adjusted to the current fashions, typically a week after they've changed.
