Armand is the intricate ruse of the young Lady Alinuyn and her mentor Vincent. They created Armand as a way to hide Alinuyn from the enemies that destroyed her family, and as a way for her to gain fame and honor through battle so she might one day lead an army back to reclaim her home.
Ali's father was the Marquis of a swatch of land in the middle of the kingdom. The land laid between two rivers, making it fertile and lush, wonderful farming and herding land. Her mother was a wood elf, a ranger in her adventuring days, and the two had fallen in love while on a hunting expedition. They had four children, two boys and two girls. On the knight her city fell, Alinuyn was the only one to escape. In the 5 years since the city fell Ali has been training to become a fighter and avenge her home.
Recently, Ali has been plagued by nightmares. Whenever they occur she awakens, screaming, and the image of a small black cat stealing the breath from her body flashes in her mind's eye.
Appearance:
Armand is a spry boy, 18 years old, lithe and small. Only 5'6" and about 115 pounds, Armand was picked on when he first entered the knighthood for being far too "delicate". He has shoulder length blonde hair, which he keeps pulled back in a loose ponytail and silver-blue eyes. His clothes are modest for any noble, sturdy, dark brown leather pants, and nice linen shirts, all generally dark colors (blues, reds, the occasional indigo) Armand de Seul's shield is sabal. The charge is an argent Weeping Willow, that has died in winter. However, at the bottom of the shield is a wavy, or chevron, symbolizing that though the tree seems dead, the roots are still full of life.
Personality:
Armand is a jovial, easy-going young man, with a quick smile and a good sense of humor. He is compassionate, but has the tendency to be a little too trusting, mainly in the hopes that he will prove what happened in his past was an anomaly more than the norm. He can be impetuous and rash, however, often leaping before looking.
Personal Beliefs: Alinuyn feels very strongly about some things, generally the well being of her charges, the fair treatment of anyone (especially women considering her circumstance) and she has a soft spot for horses.
Her main struggle is in her opinions on elves. High elves probably were the root causes of the war at hand, wood elves killed her family. However, she has always loved her heritage and her family fiercly. The woodelves are her kin, and so their betrayal is still (even 5 years later) a very tender and open wound. Coming into contact with wood elves always leads to conflict within herself, because she hates them, and is part of them at the same time, as was her beloved mother.
Nobility: There are good nobles, and there are neglegant nobles. People need someone to lead them, someone to keep their best interests at heart, someone who can help them when the world is out to get them. That is what the nobility is for, to govern, to provide for, and to protect its people. Nobles who believe nobility is about their own comfort make her sick, but she believes in this system of government.
