Liberty's Edge

One thing that I was wondering after a short discussion with someone who was considering joining the local Adventure Card Guild group.

The Guild Guide lists the Ultimate decks among "Other Decks That Count As Class Decks". Would they even count for the "If your character is from an Ultimate Add-On Deck, you may add the cards from any 1 Class Deck." instruction that essentially started this thread? The previous instruction "If your character is not from an Ultimate Add-On Deck, you may add the cards from any 1 Ultimate Add-On Deck." suggests that it doesn't, so this instruction might really mean "any 1 non-Ultimate Class Deck" and the other four Ultimate decks would not be valid answers to VampByDay's original question..

One other tip is to carefully read all the cards and scenario rules involved. For example, we might have failed 3-6B once due to overlooking the possibility of using Pharaoh's Key to add the element needed to defeat a henchman. And we definitely failed it once due to thinking we had to climb up one closed location at a time (after a Sandstorm).

Is sales tax included when determining the value of the receipt? I don't think there is an easy way to make that question matter with just card game purchases, but there seem to be one or two Pathfinder RPG items with a $49.99 list price. (And that glosses over "The receipt need not include Paizo products.")

So, if you have time, you could theoretically go to a Location, find and kill the Henchman, choose not to close, go to another Location, lather rinse repeat. Once the Henchies are dead, clear out and close each Location normally.

Actually, you only need to leave three locations open after killing the Henchmen. Assuming you have at least two players, you can Henchman-close the remaining locations normally before emptying and closing those first three.

Something I've been wondering about replacing banished cards: If I have cards in my deck that are more than 2 levels below the adventures I'm playing, can I just banish some of the low cards between scenarios to take advantage of that rule?

I recently completed 0-4D Impossible Bottle with four other players, and I dumped a Blessing of the Gods from my deck to close one location. (Technically, it was shuffled into another location, and it later occurred to me that I could have stuffed it into an empty open location with an annoying close check in case that player didn't have their own blessing.) After completing the scenario, I filled that hole with a Blessing 2 from my class deck. My question is whether I actually needed something like that close procedure.

Thank you, that worked, and I've made the adjustments I wanted.

Last weekend, I decided to register on the Paizo site in order to join the Pathfinder Society. When I did that, I found that I already seemed to have an account. Checking the old orders online and looking through my email, it seems that I asked for an emailed receipt when I bought a DVD from the Paizo booth at GenCon 2008, and that's when I signed up for the weekly mailings. I started customizing the settings, until I ran into trouble changing the Personal Settings (I wanted to put lower-case letters in my first and last name):

A complete Date of Birth is required. Collecting this information helps Paizo protect the privacy of minors.

A laudable goal. But I can't find a way to enter my complete Date of Birth.
