Description:
Aratheus stand tall at 6' 4". However he is not particularly well built, being more lanky than he his strong.

His skin is of a grey-green complexion with dark brown hair. His eyes are a dark brown as well. He is clean shaven, and generally well groomed. For a half orc he has small tusks, and takes more after his mother's human side, than his orc side.
Though this is his actual appearance he very seldom let's people see it, preferring to put on disguises. A favorite of his is to lighten his skin to a more green shade, to powder his hair to a black, to apply caps to his tusks to enlarge them, and to use powders to apply a more muscular and orcish face.

Backstory as told:
Aratheus tells of being abandoned on the streets as a child, having to learn the tools of thievery to survive. He jokes that he actually became rather good at it and was living well off of other peoples hard work.
While breaking into a household, he was captured by the owner. Rather than handing him to the guard the man spoke to him, and cared for him and looking after him. The man provided food, a roof, and a semblance of belonging for the young Aratheus. He also taught the boy morals, and offered an alternative to a life of thievery: Join the Pathfinder Society.

Actual Backstory (which Aratheus keeps to himself):

Aratheus is the illegitimate son of a noble house. His mother was visiting one of the small towns within their lands when the town was attacked by an orc raiding party. His mother survived, andAratheus is the result of that raid. She refused to give him up once she discovered she was pregnant, and was allowed to keep him so long as he remained a secret from the outside world.
Aratheus was locked in the family house for most of his youth, where he grew to love the books in their library, with topics from the mechanics of locks, how to apply powder to accentuate features for use on stage, fencing, and the art of conversation. Of course he only grew to know these works as he grew older and the children's stories no longer interested him.

All would have been well had his family not fallen prey to the power-mongering of other noble houses. They wanted the land his family owned, and the resources on it. Through the use of trickery and unscrupulous means they drove his family to ruin. They planted evidence, and claimed the family was selling poison to enemies of the state. However the secret of Aratheus had been so well kept that he escaped the hangman's noose.

On his 18th nameday he watched from the crowd as his mother, father, and his elder brother were hanged.
On that day he swore revenge against the people who had betrayed his family, through any means necessary.

He would need to amass power to intimidate, wealth to bribe, and information for blackmail, all to discover who it was that had orchestrated his family's demise. How better to gather these things than by joining the Pathfinder Society.
