When the Kaiju first came, Arathandali was an apprentice wizard in a predominantly elven academy. However, she always dreamed of greatness. Shortly before the Lastguard formed, her family (who she had been traveling with) found themselves trapped, with a Kaiju nearly upon them. Desperate to help her family, Ara called out for anyone-anything to help her. Much to her surprise, she got an answer, with a devil appearing before her as time slowed to a stop. Suddenly endowed with phenomenal power, she held off the Kaiju just long enough for her and her family to escape. Now on the Lastguard, she defends her new home with the same ruthlessness and willingness to do whatever it takes to keep it safe.
Personality:
Aranthadali is single-minded in her goal: she will protect her home, no matter the cost. It was this determination that landed her in some form of deal with Hell, and it's that mindset that keeps her focused on her task at hand. All the same, she's uncertain if her soul is forfeit, but tries to balance her… less savory tactics by not going over the edge to full evil (for instance, she only drains Xavak for magical energy, unwilling to put other living creatures through the pain it causes). She is a person of contrasts, carefully balanced and rigorously enforced, to make sure she doesn't slip too far from her goal or her morals.
