Arabella's two main weapons are the double-barreled shotgun and a Colt Peacemaker (six-shooter). The shotgun does 1d6 to 3d6 depending on range (long to short range, 48/24/12). Her pistol does 2d6+1, AP 1. Range 12/24/48 As for attacking FLOCK camera's if the vandals did that without covering their faces, they deserved to get caught. They probably deserve to get caught in any case, but stupid criminals are a Jay Leno Headlines bit special case. Are the cameras getting attacked part of traffic monitoring or the ones at parking lots of private businesses like Walmart? I'm most worried about those that just gather information on people passing by without there being any law enforcement involvement.

As Arabella is being helped into a cover spot, she calls out, "Rosebud! Rosebud!" If there are any special rules that deal with using weapon attacks to try to damage a weapon, let us know. Also, if there is a way that might allow us to disable the guns or hack into their controls, let us know the skills needed for that. With no other options, Arabella will probably try to damage it with her shotgun, so let me know if anyone is in that cone of damage.

"Based on my experience with salvaging operations, we should consider that derelict ships can function like a hermit crab's shell. Creatures may take up residence to take advantage of the shielding the ship provides. We should not expect it to be deserted, although if it takes a ship at the docking port to get inside, the only likely residents are human ones. If the hacker had their contact location hidden here, it would probably be safe and secure, but not necessarily obvious. Let's check computers, of course, but on the way, look underneath crates and in nooks and crannies for something written physically on something. My guess though is it'll be digital so they could change the coordinates if they need to without sending someone to the ship."

Arabella has been aboard enough derelict space ships to not trust scans that show intact life support systems. System can fail at inconvenient moments, like when one is far from the entry hatch. "Let's keep our weapons holstered so anyone watching doesn't assume we are here to attack anyone who moves, like some pirates do. Also let's move slowly and deliberately, so our contact can observe us and choose when to make first contact if we don't stumble onto his or her or their position."

I've been seeing ominous warnings about something called FLOCK automated cameras that allegedly do more than just make a note of a license plate; they make AI judgments on a range of things based on body language and places visited. That might be what ZenFox referred to.

My concern is with the unsafe following distance type of ticket. The measure is at least 2 seconds between one car and the passing of the next. I try to keep that, but there are always those aggressive drivers who weave in and out of such regions to go a few MPH faster than the flow of traffic. I worry I'll be ticketed when someone cuts into my safe following distance. I've also heard it can happen when you change lanes to pass someone and you don't have sufficient distance between you and the next car. Sometimes, when there is a lot of traffic, you'll wait a long time to pass a slower moving truck if you have to have a full 2 seconds to the next car. Also, when traffic is heavy, it will be physically impossible for all the cars to fit on the Interstate and the safe distance between each car. Maybe they'll turn the system off in such situations, but I'm not much interested in finding out with a $100 ticket. Then there is the case where someone is going slower than 45 mph and you cannot change lanes to pass them. Seems a lot of cars could get ticketed when one car slows the flow down, especially if passing openings in the next lane over are limited.

If Arabella cannot change their objective, she just tries to draw their attention to the group, "If it's a fight you want, we'll give it to you, but we're pretty well armed and have fought reavers. We've got someone hiding with a gun aimed at you for the first one who attacks us should expect to get shot. Do you feel lucky?" That's more intimidation than persuasion, and Arabella has a d8 in intimidation, so why don't I roll that? Intimidation: 1d8 ⇒ 6

I'm not clear what is meant by a a change in tactics. Are we talking offering them a bribe or some such? If just talking won't persuade, I'm not sure why choosing new words will help. This was sort of a hail Mary try in any case, hoping they would back down from a confrontation over what little they can hope to get from some homeless folks. @Daisy: Arabella has a six shooter in a holster. Daisy could draw that.

I went to the same school at the same time. There was a crosswalk with a button and pedestrians were supposed to push the button and wait for the light to turn red and then cross. This was the main path all the frat and sorority residents took to get to campus and naturally they rarely used the crosswalk signal. So a cop stopped a student and was writing a ticket out when another student jaywalked and the cop called him/her over and had them give over their ID. Then he continued writing the ticket. At one point, I'm told there was a growing crowd of students waiting for their ticket and other students started warning others not to jaywalk. Near that same intersection, I saw a man with a bag of groceries walking in the crosswalk while he had the walk signal and a car started to drive through the crosswalk. He shoved the bag of groceries so it rode the hood and flew into the windshield, freaking the driver out. Cops also ticket cars for not stopping when there is a pedestrian in the crosswalk, so they play both sides of the equation. By the way, I just learned there is a new system of automated speed detectors at intervals all along I-95 that just went live and can give out speeding tickets just based on the camera image and radar and infrared data. They also are supposed to ticket drivers going below the minimum speed and drivers following too closely. Details are on YouTube. You can get a ticket without ever getting stopped by a cop, in some cases before you even stop your driving. So if you drive I-95, beware.

When I was in grad school, I worked my way through by teaching a freshman composition class each semester. At the end of each semester, all the students had to meet at the same time for a timed essay. Then all the teachers had to spend a few days grading these. Each essay got a score and then got scored by two other teachers and to get the final grade. It was a lot of reading. One term, the assignment was to describe a situation where something created a conflict and how you approached the solution. Bad choice. We had to read through essay after essay of stories of trying to fix all kind of problems with landlords, customer service, airport problems, etc. Most of the essays, of course, were not well written, so it was quite tedious.

Ditto on the site issues. I was just trying to update a PC profile for another game and couldn't even see the page. Yesterday, I was barely able to get a simple post with a skill check, but it took about 45 minutes constantly waiting for the program to show a post preview, getting time-out notices and then waiting another minute or two for the page to reload, then the process started all over again. Then, when I posted, it apparently did not post, so I refreshed and reloaded, but the post did load but without an edit it needed. That changed the dice roller results and so it went. Seems stable for the moment.

Something to consider for gear. Come up with prices for getting upgrades to weapons and armor, perhaps gaining a bonus to hit or doing more damage, or doing something special on a raise. That way, we can spend our money and get some improved stats but you don't have to come up with new weapons altogether. Cue the Airplane quips.
