Disarm Stuff:

Disarm

You can attempt to disarm your opponent in place of a melee attack. If you do not have the Improved Disarm feat, or a similar ability, attempting to disarm a foe provokes an attack of opportunity from the target of your maneuver. Attempting to disarm a foe while unarmed imposes a –4 penalty on the attack.

If your attack is successful, your target drops one item it is carrying of your choice (even if the item is wielded with two hands). If your attack exceeds the CMD of the target by 10 or more, the target drops the items it is carrying in both hands (maximum two items if the target has more than two hands). If your attack fails by 10 or more, you drop the weapon that you were using to attempt the disarm. If you successfully disarm your opponent without using a weapon, you may automatically pick up the item dropped.

That last line is important, as in your case, you could have attempted to grab the shortsword from Rafiki (in place of an attack – either as a single attack or using your off-hand in a two-weapon full attack) at a -4 penalty (plus any penalties for TWF and/or unarmed combat. If successful, you "automatically pick up the item dropped".

Seems pretty straight-forward, though you'd likely eat an AoO and a handful of penalties on the attack roll attempting to do it. But still, that's the most direct way of doing what you're asking.

Rafiki shouts out a hoot and dances a quick jig as the man slumps to the ground, making a show of holstering his imaginary rifle.

Then, in a surprise move, he lets his baser animal behaviors take over and begins eating the unconscious man.

Doing a handful of unarmed CDG's to finish this thing out…

CDG1:
2d6 + 8 ⇒ (4, 1) + 8 = 13
13 Damage; Fort DC 23 or die instantly.

CDG2:
2d6 + 8 ⇒ (2, 1) + 8 = 11
11 Damage; Fort DC 21 or die instantly.

CDG3:
2d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 4) + 8 = 17
17 Damage; Fort DC 27 or die instantly.

CDG4:
2d6 + 8 ⇒ (1, 4) + 8 = 13
13 Damage; Fort DC 23 or die instantly.

If any of those fully kill you, GG, man. Sorry it took so long… Rafiki isn't exactly built around big damage output.

Since Rafiki has it in his hand, itd be a Disarm combat maneuver attempt... which can take the place of a normal attack. So, you could use TWF with the short sword you currently wield and an empty hand for the other, and use a Disarm attempt for your off-hand attack. Unfortunately, unless you have Improved Disarm, you would provoke an AoO from Rafiki when you tried to disarm the shortsword.

Round 10

Rafiki looks at the man in confusion, then at his outstretched "gun" in disappointment. "Dis ting don't work!" He pantomimes tossing the gun in the sand, holding up a stalling finger to the unresponsive opponent. "A bit of patience, if ya don't mind, now."

Then he pantomimes pulling out a much larger gun. Holding the invisible long-rifle up to his shoulder and sighting it carefully in on Vironus's head. "Now dat's betta..." he laughs as he pulls the fake trigger. "BOOOOM!'

The word echoes once again in Vironus's head.

Spellcraft DC 16:
Ear Piercing Scream

Arbiter:
Cast Ear Piercing Scream

2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10

Cast spell. Vironus takes 10 damage and is dazed. Fort save DC 17 for half damage and no daze. Your turn.

I didn't' realize you had tumbled back. But it's a bit moot, as Rafiki simply would have followed.

Round 9

Rafiki sidesteps the slash.

"Bring more… bring less… it does not matta when I have HAND GUNS!" quips the monkey as he tumbles backwards to create some space. Then he pretends to draw an imaginary gun from an imaginary holster, index finger the barrel. He drops his thumb-hammer and yells, "BANG!"

Arbiter:
Tumble back 15 feet 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Cast Ear Piercing Scream
2d6 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4

Rafiki tumbles back 15 feet (Acro 21 vs your CMD). Then he casts a spell, dealing 4 damage and Vironus is Dazed. Make a Fort save DC 17. Success means 1/2 damage and no Dazed condition.
.
You're up.

Step up… Nice! (Well, not for me.)

"Rafiki regrets The Lion King 1 1/2," the baboon grunts as it recoils from the slash, "but not this, I think."

Then he spins on his heels, smacking the human across the face with the end of his tail. "Waaa-ZAAA"

Arbiter:
Switch to Jugement of Destruction
Kick!

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Unarmed Strike 22; Damage 6

You're up.

As the man dives down to grab his sword, Rafiki plants one hand on the ground, kicking out with both legs into the man's gut.

Arbiter:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Attack 24; Damage 7

Round 7
"Monkey see! Monkey do! Now we keep the blade from you!" Rafiki laughs as he steps back, drawing and using a scroll before letting it fall to the arena sands.

Spellcraft DC 16:
Divine Favor

5' step back to A.10. Draw and activate scroll. You're up.

You can't use Acrobatics to pick up a weapon without provoking. Pickign something up just always provokes. Do you want to change your actions? Or should I take that AoO?

Naah, CDG means letting go of the grapple.. adn that's currently Rafiki's golden ticket. Though now that you're stunned, you've dropped all your swords. :)

Round 6

As the man goes slack momentarily, the monkey reverses his grip to slip into a chokehold, wiry arms snaking their way around the man's neck to cut off his air supply.

Arbiter:
More of the same, though no Stunning Fist

1d20 + 9 - 4 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 9 - 4 + 5 = 11

Doh! Swift for Judgement of Protection

Grapple attempt was a natural 1.... no grapple! O.O

... and somehow the monkey-man loses his grip. Not wanting to find out how dangerous the man is with the blade, Rafiki picks the man's shortsword up off the ground, holding it awkwardly in an ineffective reverse grip as he waits for the man to act.

Move action to pick up Vironus's blade. And that's it. Your turn.

Unfortunately, that doesn't break Rafiki's Grappled CMD currently. Those must be some hellacious rolls, though. And (just so we're on the same page), I'm assuming you'd have had to drop your second sword when trying to break the grapple. So you only have 1 in-hand, right?

Round 5

The human's violent attempt at freedom only seems to spin the monkey-man faster into the grapple. Rafiki drives his knee into the man's head in yet another attempt to knock him senseless.

The monkey takes on a mimic'ing voice, "FIGHT ME WITH YOUR FISTS DAMN IT! A-HOOO-HOOO-HOOOO!"

Arbiter:
Grapple (defensively) to damage, using Stunning Fist.

1d20 + 9 - 4 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 9 - 4 + 5 = 24
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Rafiki grapples Vironus to damage (yet again).

Grapple: 24 vs. Vironus's Pinned CMD.

Damage: 3 and make a Fort save DC 19 or be stunned for 1 round.

You're up.

Round 4

"AHOOOHOOO!" Rafiki barks as he continues twisting on the arm.

Arbiter:
Grapple defensively to Damage, using Stunning Fist.

1d20 + 9 - 4 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 9 - 4 + 5 = 28
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

2nd Verse; same as the first… Rafiki grapples Vironus to damage.
Grapple: 28 vs. Vironus's Pinned CMD.
Damage: 6 and make a Fort save DC 19 or be stunned for 1 round.

You're up.

Yah, i actually kind of fell into the grappling strategy with this guy. :D

Round 3

"It's cause you're a baboon… and i'm not!" he chortles as he wrenches the pinned man's arm around in its socket.

Arbiter:
Switch to Judgement of Destruction
Grapple defensively to Damage, using Stunning Fist.

1d20 + 9 - 4 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 9 - 4 + 5 = 19
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Rafiki grapples Vironus to damage.
Grapple: 19 vs. Vironus's Pinned CMD.
Damage: 3 and make a Fort save DC 19 or be stunned for 1 round.

Again, let me know if that's unsuccessful, and I'll use my move action.

Successful hit, unsuccessful crit.

Round 2

"BAH!" the baboon spits as the blade bites, but not as deeply as Vironus would like. "A hit for you. A hit for me. What happens next, we both will see!" he hoots as he continues spinning around the human, attempting to twist him up in his own arms.

Arbiter:
Grapple defensively to pin
1d20 + 9 - 4 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 9 - 4 + 5 = 22

Rafiki grapples to pin Vironus. Grapple: 22 vs. Vironus's grappled CMD

If that's successful, it's your turn and you're pinned. If that's a fail, let me know so I can use my Move action.

Yep, that's a miss (and thanks for the gear info, it's helpful).

Round 1

"IT IS TIME!" the baboon shouts as he spins out of the way of the brazen attack. The monkey-man lashes out with one arm, latching onto Vironus's extended sword-arm like a tree-branch.

"OooohooohooohoooohOOOOOOO!"

Arbiter:
Grapple (defensively) 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 9 - 4 = 24

Activate Judgement of Protection

Rafiki grapples Vironus (no AoO for Vironus). Grapple: 24 vs. Vironus's CMD (-2 for charging)

If that's successful, it's your turn. Let me know if that grapple doesn't work, as I have a move action I can take advantage of.

What are you wearing and wielding? You don't have it described in this thread or in your profile. All you reference is a shield, but you don't say what kind it is.

The monkey-man cocks his head to the side, apparently in an ernest attempt to understand the human. With a shrug, he gulps down whatever is in the coconut shell and grins as he steps forward into a strange fighting stance.

Arbiter:
Drink Potion of Mage Armor
5' step to B.10
Swift to enter Style

Rafiki drinks a potion, then steps forward to B.10

You're up.

Out of the dark of the northern entrance lopes a strange combatant, indeed... Vironus's newest opponent looks like some kind of safari baboon-animal armed for battle.

It's brownish-black fur has seen better days, looking slightly torn and scarred — as if he'd somewhat recently been in a losing fight against hyenas... or maybe lions. Patches of his fur also look to have been burned off. Despite this recent battle-scarring, however, the monkey moves with an easy agility, and its bright eyes seek out its opponent. It has a sling full of javelins hanging from one shoulder, a spell component pouch and two scroll cases on its belt, a dagger in its belt, some kind of mechanical bracer on both forearms, and a headband on its brow.

It comes to a stop, then stands on its hind legs as it sniffs the air, then holds up a half-coconut shell filled with some thick liquid in some parody of a salute.

"Asante sana Squash banana, Wiwi nugu Mi mi apana," he begins singing as he waits.

Arbiter:
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Initiative19... you're up!
