Step 1: Write five things about your character's concept and background
1. He is a god of desire, art, strategy, and above all conquest.
2. He had overstepped his boundaries and tried to make a harem of mortal women he found "engaging" much to the dismay of a certain goddess
3. His slim profile, loose clothing, and unkempt hair don't exactly scream discipline.
4. He has tendency to become focused on one thing to the point of blocking out everyone around him, especially when he is forming a strategy or creating his works of "art"
5. His mother is in fact, a mortal woman. She was murdered a few years after his birth
Step 2: List two goals for the character that you, as a player, think would be cool to see accomplished in-game
1. Discover his mother's killers true identity. He has leads but after being stripped of his dietyhood his resources are now more limited.
2. Create the perfect harem of talented and beautiful mortal women with whom to hopefully bear more half mortal children with so he can offend as many of the gods as possible and shake the very foundation of his pantheon.
Step 3: List two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet.
1. He actually was raised as a mortal until a few years after his mothers death.
2. His mothers killer is not whom he would think it is. He believes it to be the wife of his Father, Inyo, who though a schemer actually has a liking for the lad.
Step 4: Describe three people that are tied to the character through blood, romance, or honor. Two of them are friendly, one is hostile.
1. His half sister, Gandiva, whom is infatuated with him and is jealous of his antics with the mortals. He believes her to be instrumental in his "depowering" but she was actually tricked.
2. His faithful servant and lady-in-waiting Aspera, was a mortal whose soul he rescued from the being destroyed as some of the gods found her to be too compelling and clever. She is reincarnated as a playful oni that chides and nurtures our hero. With his depowering she has been denied access to her memories and a majority of her abilities as his follower.
3. His step mother Inyo has a nasty habit of constantly throwing obstacles in his way to prove his worth as a god. And even now as a mere mortal she will not prove any less vexing.
Step 5: Describe three memories that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate but they should provide some context and flavor.
1. As a child he would find various places to hide in the public bathing houses so that he could view the women there in the nude. Often he was caught whilst drawing their forms and studying their movements. If not for his talent and charming smile he would have been beaten to death several times. But even many a husband was impressed by his work, especially when given copies of his work to keep as their own. He believes the swaying of breast and hips to be comparable the grandest of mountain ranges and a marvel of motion akin to a humming bird in flight.
2. Way before he even know what a breast was and was more interested in nature, he sat off to explore the woods behind his home. After being too curious for his own good our hero ends up falling down a slope, crying pitifully from the pain of a twisted ankle. It was then a woman he had never seen before came to his rescue, and took him upon her back, carrying him to his home. The part he remembers the most is the swaying of her cleavage as he stared down at it from above, mesmerized by the woman's grace and beauty. (spoiler alert, this was actually Inyo)
3. His last memory before the start of the game, is taking part in a game of chance with a large group of unsavory characters while inebriated. Betting not only the shirt of his and Aspera's backs, but one of his prized works of art as well. This memory is very hazy though, but since he woke up to a fully clothed Aspera staring at him with her usual look of impatience it would seem that he had won....
Anyways as you can see, going for a whole black sheep vibe. Maybe mixed in with a bit Heracles. Got someone that who was never supposed to be, being potentially better at the old gods at what they do, a lot like Athena in a way. I'm not gonna take him too seriously unless I get picked, because I am not exactly sure where the story is going to go as far as direction and I love tailoring the actual character to better gel with the existing characters have. I could see him and Aspera being a comedic duo of sorts with Aspera being the "straight man" so to speak. Both of them helping as much as they get the group in trouble.
Edit: After reading the info on Hadran, thinking of my god being a sort of second coming of Hadran, which made him a threat to Rovagug. Rovagug knowing that he could not defeat the gods by force, used betrayal and trickery to not only disperse of Hadrans powers, but confine the young power of Arvenm as well. Now no knowledge or strategy could be used against him. He could continue corrupting the gods one by one. That is until fate brings them together....
