Gear +3/glamered/improved shadow breastplate (deathless), +1 sickle, headband of inspired wisdom +4, amulet of natural armor +3, ring of protection +3, cloak of resistance +4, pearl of power (4th), snapleaf, phylactery of negative channeling
Breastplate Qualities:
Deathless: This armor protects its wearer from harmful negative and positive energy, including channeled energy. The armor absorbs the first 10 points of positive or negative energy damage per attack that the wearer would normally take. The wearer has a 25% chance to ignore negative levels from any attack. Deathless armor does not block healing of any kind and does not protect against positive or negative energy effects that do not deal damage or bestow negative levels. The deathless ability can be applied to armor of any sort, but not shields.
Improved Shadow: This armor blurs the wearer whenever she tries to hide, while also dampening the sound around her, granting a +10 competence bonus on Stealth checks. The armor’s armor check penalty still applies normally.
Glamered: Upon command, a suit of glamered armor changes shape and appearance to assume the form of a normal set of clothing. The armor retains all its properties (including weight) when it is so disguised. Only a true seeing spell or similar magic reveals the true nature of the armor when it is disguised.
Special Abilities:
Aura (Ex) A cleric of a chaotic, evil, good, or lawful deity has a particularly powerful aura corresponding to the deity's alignment (see the detect evil spell for details).
Aura of Evil (Ex) You project an overwhelming evil aura.
Aura of Law (Ex) You project an overwhelming lawful aura.
Beacon of Faith You wield the might of your faith with power and clarity. Once per day as a free action, you may treat your caster level as if it were 2 levels higher when using one of the granted powers of your domain or inquisition, or when casting one of your domain spells.
Channel Negative Energy
Channel Negative Energy (Su) You can unleash a wave of negative energy. You must choose to deal 7d6 points of negative energy damage to living creatures or to heal undead creatures of 7d6 points of damage. Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a DC 17 Will save to halve the damage. You can use this ability 4 times per day.
Charming Blessed with good looks, you've come to depend on the fact that others find you attractive. You gain a +1 trait bonus when you use Bluff or Diplomacy on a character that is (or could be) sexually attracted to you, and a +1 trait bonus to the save DC of any language-dependent spell you cast on such characters or creatures.
Closed Book (Su) It becomes difficult for your foes to unveil your secrets. You are constantly under the effect of nondetection, as if you cast the spell on yourself.
Darkvision (Ex) Range 60 ft.; Darkvision is the extraordinary ability to see with no light source at all, out to a range specified for the creature. Darkvision is black and white only (colors cannot be discerned). It does not allow characters to see anything that they could not see otherwise-invisible objects are still invisible, and illusions are still visible as what they seem to be. Likewise, darkvision subjects a creature to gaze attacks normally. The presence of light does not spoil darkvision.
Darkvision
Detect Secrets (Su) You have learned how to detect any of a creature's secrets, not just its thoughts. Whenever you cast detect anxieties, detect desires, or detect thoughts or use any of those spells as a spell-like ability, you can choose to gain the effects of one of the other two spells instead. You are never overwhelmed by a target of these spells that has a high ability score.
Domains
Fiendish Language (Ex) Tieflings speak either Abyssal or Infernal.
Fiendish Resistance (Ex) Tieflings have cold resistance 5, electricity resistance 5, and fire resistance 5.
Fiendish Sorcery (Ex) Tiefling sorcerers with the Abyssal or Infernal bloodlines treat their Charisma score as 2 points higher for all sorcerer class abilities.
Master's Illusion (Sp) You can create an illusion that hides the appearance of yourself and any number of allies within 30 feet for 13 rounds. This ability otherwise functions like the spell Veil. The save DC to disbelieve this effect is 22. The rounds do not need to be consecutive.
Orisons You can prepare a number of orisons, or 0-level spells. These spells are cast like any other spells, but they are not expended when used and may be used again.
Resistance to Cold (Ex) You may ignore 5 points of Cold damage each time you take cold damage.
Resistance to Electricity (Ex) You may ignore 5 points of Electricity damage each time you take electricity damage.
Resistance to Fire (Ex) You may ignore 5 points of Fire damage each time you take fire damage.
Secrets Inquisition
Skilled (Ex) Tieflings have a +2 racial bonus on Bluff and Stealth checks.
Spell-Like Ability (Sp) Tieflings can use darkness 1/day as a spell-like ability.
Spontaneous Casting You can channel stored spell energy into inflict spells that you did not prepare ahead of time. You can "lose" any prepared spell that is not an orison or domain spell in order to cast any inflict spell of the same spell level or lower (an inflict spell is any spell with "Inflict" in its name).
Sudden Shift (Sp) In the blink of an eye, you can appear somewhere else. As an immediate action, after you are missed by a melee attack, you can teleport up to 10 feet to a space that you can see. This space must be inside the reach of the creature that attacked you. You can use this power 9 times per day
Background:
Anethra Katal was born on a fittingly storm-swept night, and lightning crashed down outside the manor the midwife raised the hissing, bloodied babe and declared her the true spawn of her father.
Content, Metheren Katal ordered the tiefling child to be taken away; only then did he turn his attentions to the dying mother, by whose side he sat until she passed away later that dawn.
No matter. His wife had bred true, and their patron demon's power would once more invigorate their household line. Three tiefling children his wife had born until she passed, and the youngest had impressed him the most.
Anethra Katal.
Her life was difficult, her challenges continuous, and only her preternatural patience and innate wisdom allowed her to excel where others withered and faded. Dark, shadowed rooms, the whisper of teacher's dresses across parquet floors, the sting of the lash, the sweet savor of forbidden knowledge. Her childhood was steeped in illicit teachings, the words of Asmodeus, and the promise of ever greater successes and power if Anethra but dedicated herself to excelling.
And excel she did.
At thirteen she entered the Cloister of the Hoofed Lady, where she was to spend the next two decades, rising from novitiate to sister to ever higher ranks of power until she was transferred to the main abbey in Westcrown, and then, at the tender age of sixty-five, to Egorian itself, where she tended to the priorities of her god, Asmodeus, and did her level best to further the interests of Thrune.
One ointment. At the impressionable age of seventeen, she made a foolish pact with a Jeggare scion: that should she not hear from him within a year, she would do all within her power to locate him or his remains, and bring them back to his family. It was decadently amusing at the time, to swear a vow of love based on assured death, but when at last that year came to pass, Anethra found the situation wholly without humor. Extending her resources, she discovered that Velaxios Jeggare had attempted the Breaching ceremony in Korvosa the year before; bound by the strictures of her contract, she reluctantly called in favors, demanded a sabbatical, and set forth for Korvosa in time to arrive for the next ceremony.
