If looks could kill:
Aneira is slim and small-boned even for her species. Her orange-red skin and oddly-pattered markings set her apart from her peers at a young age. Even among friends she tends to wear a hooded cloak so as not to draw attention to herself. She is usually quiet unless she has something specific to contribute, having learned early that listening is usually more valuable than speaking.
A potted history:
Seen by her parents as an easily distracted child, in truth Aneira's mind was ever three steps ahead of those around her. Her early years were marred with frustration at how slow the world around her seemed, how little others seemed to truly see and understand. Born in the same era as the jedi were all but destroyed, her talent with the Force went unnoticed and untrained, leaving her to figure it out herself. As much as she tried to live with her family, she finally left her home when they started to talk of marriage, and all she wanted to do was explore the stars.
With a natural hatred of injustice, Aneira almost immediately began using her powers as a vigilante of sorts, punishing those that seemed to escape the punishment of law, or those who took advantage of others with no-one to protect them. Honing her skills, by chance she became involved in the Galactic War when she unwittingly saved a Rebellion courier from a squad of stormtroopers. Injured, the Bothan insisted she continue his mission, and once she had experienced the sense of rightness completing his task gave her, she was done with being a lone operator. She has pretty much been working for the Rebels ever since then, finding the place she seems to have been seeking since before she can even remember, helping right the greatest injustice ever perpetrated on the universe, overturning the Tyranny of the Empire.
Aneira's usual tasks involve gathering intel, eliminating enemy agents and communication networks, and the occasional vetting of Rebel operatives or other internal security matters requiring investigation. This is kept quiet by the Command Structure both for morale purposes and to make this aspect of her role easier to achieve.
