"So is that door warded?" Amunrel asks curiously as he steps forwards and knocks solidly on the door.

Perception check for traps:
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

"So does he leave a key under to doormat?" Amunrel asks as he looks around the door before taking a step back to look up and see if there's any windows or parapets on this wizard's dwelling and whether he could climb up it before wondering about whether thats actually a good idea.

"I take it your sister is a late riser then?"
Either that or she's run away again

"She could always be having after performance jitters you know!" Amunrel defends his absent niece.

Just to let you know because I'm moving home in a few weeks (october 19th or so) I'll be unable to post for maybe a couple of weeks until I can back online. This is in case i'm not able to give better warning closer to the time as i don't know how long it'll take to get back online

"Sure lets fetch the sheriff, if anything it might help to make things legitimate, but didn't you do that yesterday?" Amunrel asks.

Male? Varisian Elf Rogue 1st

"So we're off to see the evil wizard... we're off to see the wizard's evil apprentice... no that just doesn't have the same ring to it now does it?" Amunrel asks the others.

Some of them don't answer but look a little stone faced.

"Okay so maybe I don't have my niece's voice but it is quite apt don't you think?" Amunrel sighs as they then decide whether to bother go anywhere at least anywhere with a certain elf...

Do i bother making an untrained Perform/Sing check?

Male? Varisian Elf Rogue 1st

Let Adunta and Ewald discuss what they want to do but if there's any suspicion regarding their new contact then Amunrel would want to come along next time to see for himself thats unless they want to do something before tomorrow morning but that might put them in the sheriff's bad books...

"Interesting..." Amunrel sits upright as he listens to Adjunta much more closely than before.

"From the description I thought Estorian was some kind of evoker, you know the flash and loud explosive type of spellcaster. Could he or his apprentice be more of the illusion type wizard?" he asks.

"A sibling or was that... never mind but do we actually know if Estorian is actually in town or is this some clever con by someone posing as him?" Amunrel asks.

"Question is, is there anyone else in town who knows him well enough to know more details about him, didn't you say something about visiting another mage any chance did he say anything about Estorian?" Amunrel asks Adjunta.

Halsanna however, was sitting at a nearby table looking rather disgruntled. She had, after all, hustled back to the inn to get her gear, checked to make sure that her sister had not left anything, and then started back at a hustle, anticipating something other than the walking and talking that had been going on just for a change of pace. Her surprise at meeting her uncle and sister on their way back, declaring the day done, was only overshadowed by her annoyance. So she then marched her way back to the inn, removed the majority of her armor and equipment, and went back down into the common room to linger until it was time for her sister's show.

For lack of anything better to do, she was maintaining the edge on her kukri, one boot up on the table with a mug in front of her. For the most part, she seemed to be just biding her time.

"So no sign of your uncle then?" Amunrel asks settling down beside her with a flagon of ale.

"Still it should be interesting to see your fella's reaction to Vi's performance though!" he sighs.
"Hope that pair don't get into too much trouble without us, after all they can't have all the fun for themselves!" he mutters to the now glaring Halsanna.
"Yes? Oh are they here then?" he asks turning to look towards the entrance and then look back before realising who Halsanna is glaring at.
"What? Oh right he's Vi's boyfriend, sorry keep forgetting that niggling detail," he smiles back unperturbed.
"Hope your dad's okay, I really don't trust that family of his in some ways they make even my side of the family look almost benevolent in comparison!" he sighs again before taking asip from his flagon.

No I'm sorry , I don't understand what is the point there ...'

"Who knew Estorian had ordered these many potential familiars? Who on your side of this deal that is," Amunrel asks counting a finger on his hand.

"Who knew the route you would take?" he raises another finger and counts it.

"Are you sure they're inconveniencing Estorian and not yourself since you did say the person who normally accompanies you wasn't able to this time, convenient that the one time you'd need backup you wouldn't have it after all could Jemiche or this druid handle the pair of you and remain anonymous?" Amunrel raises a third finger.

"There still remains the fact that they left the mule behind, if they really wanted to "free" all of the animals why leave that behind?" Amunrel adds but doesn't raise a finger.

"I think our friend in there was charmed, I suspect there aren't that many spellcasters' in this town so I'm wondering who are known to have familiars?" Amunrel asks.

"Either Estorian set this up or either he or someone you know told this "druid" about this and they chose to take advantage, now we could introduce this friend of yours who couldn't make this trip to Jemiche or if we know how many people have a fascination for snakes..." Halsanna , Arundel , does this mean you advanced enough to see the scene rather than just hearing it ?

Apologies assumed Halsanna was presently looking on at what was going on. Amunrel would have been standing behind Ewald and Adjunta when they first introduced themselves and he'll remain in the background whilst the pair are talking to Jemiche unless his mother has problems with an elf accompanying Ewald and Adjunta.

Amunrel wonders what possible reason could have changed Jemiche's viewpoint so suddenly hoping the reason is more benign than his suspicions that he aired to the others earlier.

Male? Varisian Elf Rogue 1st

Amunrel quietly glancing at Halsanna before returning his attention to Ewald, Adjunta, Jemiche and his mother.

Sense Motive: 1d20+7: 9+7 for total of 16 and Perception/Sight & Sound as he's paying close attention to whats going on: 1d20+9: 15+9 for total of 24 meaning He's focusing to see if his suspicions regarding Jemiche's actions are accurate

"Whilst this mage would have to be seven kinds of a fool to do such a thing I agree with the sheriff that from the sounds of it there's more to this than simple misplaced faith so I was wondering what else could have coerced him into such a violent action if indeed he was involved?" he adds thoughtfully.

Is he staying long?"came the whispered question to her sister. A slight frown displayed her confusion, thinking that they might be in for a span of time in his company, and really uncertain of how to feel about that.

"I wonder how your father is going to react when he finds out!" Amunrel whispers to them unaware of Halsanna's comment.

Those of keener sight might be able to make out a slight blush on her cheeks, though she would volunteer no explanation why, even though her firm denial of the offer was plain to see. If anyone was going to take up the offer, it was all up to her sister. She seemed content to lean her hip on the nearest pew, watching.

Amunrel raises an eyebrow at Ewald's request.

"So are you taking him seriously yet?" he asks turning to Halsanna.
"So either Vi goes up there to perform a acrobatic feat or me, Adjunta and Halsanna lift the ladder the desired height for him to grab the bat... maybe if we do that we ought to warn him first so he can secure himself to the ladder first and not take an unnecessary plunge?" he now turns to glance at Vi.
