CLASS ABILITIES:
Challenge = x3 per day swift action, one target, extra damage equal to level, -2 AC against other foes, lasts until target is unconscious or dead.
Tactician = As a standard action, the cavalier can grant this feat to all allies within 30 feet who can see and hear him. Allies retain the use of this bonus feat for 3 rounds plus 1 round for every two levels the cavalier possesses. Allies do not need to meet the prerequisites of these bonus feats.
Cavaliers Charge = The cavalier receives a +4 bonus on melee attack rolls on a charge while mounted (instead of the normal +2). In addition, the cavalier does not suffer any penalty to his AC after making a charge attack while mounted.
Expert Trainer = a cavalier learns to train mounts with speed and unsurpassed expertise. The cavalier receives a bonus equal to 1/2 his cavalier level whenever he uses Handle Animal on an animal that serves as a mount. In addition, he can reduce the time needed to teach a mount a new trick or train a mount for a general purpose to 1 day per 1 week required by increasing the DC by +5. He can also train more than one mount at once, although each mount after the first adds +2 to the DC.
Banner = As long as the cavalier's banner is clearly visible, all allies within 60 feet receive a +2 morale bonus on saving throws against fear and a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls made as part of a charge. At 10th level, and every five levels thereafter, these bonuses increase by +1. The banner must be at least Small or larger and must be carried or displayed by the cavalier or his mount to function.

Animal Feats
In addition to the standard animal companion feats, a charger may select Charge Through, Greater Overrun, Improved Great Fortitude, and Improved Iron Will.

Mounted Challenge (Ex)
When ridden by a cavalier, chargers gain half of the bonuses and penalties granted by the cavalier's challenge class feature.
This ability replaces share spells*.
Barding Training (Ex)
At 3rd level, a charger's armor check penalty for wearing barding or for carrying a medium load is reduced by 1 and the maximum Dexterity bonus for its armor and load increases by 1. Reduce the armor check and medium load penalties by an additional 1 for every 6 levels after 3rd; increase the maximum Dexterity bonus for the charger's armor by an additional 1 for every 6 levels after 3rd. In addition, the charger's speed does not decrease when wearing medium armor or carrying a medium load.
At 9th level, a charger can move at normal speed in heavy armor or while carrying a heavy load.
This ability replaces evasion and Multiattack.
Indefatigable (Ex)
At 6th level, a charger becomes immune to fatigue.
This ability replaces devotion.
Stalwart Steed (Ex)
At 15th level, the charger gains the ability to withstand great punishment and stress. Whenever the charger succeeds at a Fortitude or Will save that would normally result in a reduced or partial effect, the charger is unaffected.

Parzival = The male runt out of the three and the most friendly one.

Owlbert = The more aggressive make who looks like he is glaring at everything.

Unnamed = The last one is the female and is the easy going one.

RACIAL ABILITIES:

• Ability Score Racial Traits: Human characters gain a +2 racial bonus to one ability score of their choice at creation to represent their varied nature.
• Size: Humans are Medium creatures and thus receive no bonuses or penalties due to their size.

description:
Though of Chelaxian descent Amund does not look like the typical Chelaxian. His skin is several shades darker from years in the sun. His once pointer nose has broadened out through multiple breaks. He has the traditional black hair and dark eyes. He tries to keep his face clean shaven. There is a long scar across his nose, a smaller one between his brows, and a thick scar on his left forearm running the length of his arm and ending behind his thumb.
His choice of clothing is functional not fashionable despite the trends in the city. If not in his grey uniform he favors blacks and reds, colors symbolic of his pride in his home. He typically keeps a longsword at his hip and a dagger in his boot. The only decoration he adorns himself with is a blue beaded necklace, which he never removes.
When planning for combat he has black leathers underneath a silvery breast plate. The piece of armor has the has the symbol of the Korvosan Guard on it over the heart.
His mount wears protective studded leather with a longer black saddle blanket with the symbol of the Korvosan Guard on both sides. This is my Banner! While mounted he favors fighting with the guisarme.

personality:
Amund is a rather quiet and serious man. Never the type to raise his voice or leap to wild assumptions. He has a calming presence and tends to stay in the background. He has no tolerance for cruelty in any form. This is met with calm and cold decisive retaliation. His unit liked him because he was so calm, also because Ursion stopped badgering other people in his focus to get a reaction out of Amund. Rarely one to laugh or smile, most humor tends to fly over his head. Any of his attempt at humor are very dry.
He likes animals more than most people. People watch him with Pretty Girl or Ursa he looks like a different man. He smiles easily and tends to speak without pause, babbling freely.
His goal in life was to be a hero and in his opinion the people who protect the city are just that. Being part of that protection is a matter of great pride to Amund. He worked very hard to achieve his position and is very dedicated to keeping it. He honestly has no desire to move up in the ranks, content to follow orders. If one takes control of a situation he willingly does so but if he can get out of it he will. He wants to be a hero but not a legend.
Surprisingly a follower of the Eternal Rose, Shelyn. The philosophy of finding beauty in everything is rather important to Amund. While not a ability that comes naturally to him he is dedicated to trying. A little more social awkward outside of business matters than most people would expect of a devotee of Shelyn. Having no skill for music and his singing abilities are painful Amund has over years cultivated a moderate talent for drawing. He keeps many books full of portraits, landscapes, and various animals. In his free time he is rarely without a sketch pad.

Background:
Amund Basurto was born in city of Korvosa. He came from a large family, his parent owned a bakery which Amund wanted nothing to do with. He wanted to be a hero. Walking away from his family in a rather selfish move he went to join the Korvosan Guard. But he was promptly revoked due to a lack of training and discipline. Refusing to go back to his family since he was a bit of an ass about leaving.
Amund keeps trying day after day and eventually he is given a chance to be a guard. He joins with a group of new recruits and no money to his name after having to slum it for almost a month. So to have the uniform and the issued weapons he is in debt to the city with his wages being garnished until he paid it back. While he is excited to be in the guard and learning to defend the city he has no friends around him. His group doesn't like him and the commander of his unit gives him the grunt work such as cleaning weapons and mucking out the horses stalls. It is in these stalls with the city guards horses that he finds peace with the animals. He is on the path to what he always wanted but he is miserable, broke, and lonely. Only staying because pride demands it. This peace that he feels with the horses and the skill that he has with them gets him moved to a mounted guard.
Among a different group of people Amund has a wholly different experience. His skill with animals is a valued trait. He is not viewed a poor whipping boy of their superior but a comrade. He is paired up with an older member of the unit named Ursion Guillory. Ursion is Amunds opposite in many ways. Loud and boisterous to Amunds quiet and reserved behavior. They become fast friends. Ursion is the man who helped Amund learn to fight from the back of his horse, a blue dun mare named Pretty Girl. The horse will not listen unless addressed as Pretty Girl.
Spoiler:
That ass hid my boots so I would be late. I am not running there. He will just wait. Most people step out of the way as Amund stomps out of the barracks and down the road towards the stables. The frown on his face deepens as he watches the people around him smiling at the rare sight of his visible agitation. He can hear them talking about Ursion pranking him again. No one ever stops it but to be fair it is never malicious, and its apparently hilarious to other people.
Taking his time and trying to calm down Amund eventually arrives at the stable and Ursion is nowhere to be found. One of the younger boys a stable hand who looks to Varisian to make it far the guard calls out, Sir! Ursion said to tell you that he will be in the field with your horse. Beggin your pardon but he said to tell you, and he said I had to say it. But since you took your sweet time getting here he was gonna make you work for it and to watch out for the droppins. Sorry Sir.
Pinching the bridge of his nose and taking a deep calming breath, You have nothing to apologize for Jaden. Thank you for telling me. Go back to work. The boy smiles brightly and disappears back into a stall. Slow steps take Amund out of the stables and to the gated field the horses get to run and train in. Off in the distance near the other side of the field he can see Ursion riding a horse while guiding another next to him. Hopping the fence Amund waits a minute to see if Ursion will be heading over to him. And he does not. Instead Ursion is seemingly content to ride back and forth along the fence on the other side of the field.
I am being punished for something and I do not know how to atone for it. Quickening his pace to try to get this over with faster Amund walks across the field. He is careful to avoid any piles left by the horses. Once on the other side Amund waits for Ursion to ride back up to him. Ursion's black hair is sticking up in all directions from the wind and again his is in civilian clothing while Amund is wearing his uniform.
Laughing as he rides up, Ah Amund you didn't have to get all dressed up for me! Sliding of his massive white stallion while letting go of the reins on the smaller grey courser he walks over and hugs a very stiff Amund. It wouldn't hurt you to hug back you know.
Glaring at Ursion, I am not willing to chance that it might. Why did you hide my boots and make me walk across the whole damn field?
Shrugging, The shoes were funny and the field thing is tradition.

Nah, it's a tradition I am trying to start. You should feel honored

Not the point Amund. The point is this beautiful creature right here and how she is all yours.
A mare?
Grinning Ursion faces him, Thought you could use a woman in your life. Amund huffs at that. Oh quite your whining. You two will be fast friends. Her name is Pretty Girl. The grin is now a broad smile again as he runs the mares noseShe will not listen to any other names. The grin has returned as he gently pushed Amund towards the mare.
Blackish brown eyes meet Amunds light brown. The horse certainly looks pretty. A blue dun. Smoky bluish coat with deep charcoal points. Keeping a slight distance he slowly raises his hand for the dun to sniff at. Once the horse has had a good whiff he slowly moves to stroke her black nose.

For Amunds three year anniversary in joining the unit Ursion throws a party, something Ursion tends to do for any of his friends.

Amund stares and the little brown puppy being held out to him by his friend. Ursion smiles broadly, Take her! She is yours. Shaking his head Amund backs away with a glare. Laughing Ursion walks forward and thrusts the puppy into his arms. I paid for her so take her. I didn't name her so you cannot complain!
The four others in the room laugh and lift their mugs while offering their agreement. Take the dog and quite being an ass! Take the puppy! Bout time you had a bed warmer!
Amund takes a deep breath with his eyes closed trying to ignore his companions. The puppy yips and licks his hand. You are all asses.
Ursion, who was close enough to hear the mumbled word, smiles broadly and yells back to the others He is gonna keep the puppy! The dog howled and all the others in the room howled with it. Ursion flops down in a chair next to Amund and with a broad smile he leans in close and whispers, Also I lied. The pups name is Ursa. After me! Your welcome.

The two days Ursion did not report do duty. Three days of looking and Ursion was found dead in an alley, he had been stabbed multiple times in the chest. Amund obsessed over finding his friends killer but the months rolled by and he never found them. Deciding he needed a change his superior assigned him to travel to the Bloodsworn Vale.
Normally the Korvosan Guard is only concerned with the inner workings of the city and leaves the rest of the country to others. Amunds Captian heard about a Noble, Lord Percival Arizian, going to the Vale. He made the call to have Amund leave the guard and become a bodygaurd instead.

Moving swiftly down the hall and knocking three times of his Captians door. The gruff voive of his Captain comes though the door.Come in. Turning to overgrown puppy, Ursa, and point to the ground while quietly says Stay. Ursa sits and Amund smiles at the puppy. Then opens the door to see his Captain, Raymond Medina, sitting at his desk. Take a seat Amund. Nodding Amund sits and meet Medina's eyes, He seems agitated, I am to be yelled at again, damn.
Medina takes a deep breath as he leans back into his chair and rakes a hand though his hair. Amund I summoned you here because I have a mission for you. Normally this would not concern the Korvosan Guard but I feel that this is necessary for the advancement of Varisia as a whole. I have already received clearance to send someone to Bloodsworn Vale. I intend for that person to be you. He lifts his hand the stop Amund from speaking up yet and then continues. There is a man, Lord Percival Arizian, who has requested some assistance in this. Your job is to keep him safe while you work together to secure the Vale. Many people from varied backgrounds are going and I want someone there who has Varisia's best interests at heart. I swear we will not stop looking for who killed Ursion but you must move on Amund.
Surely there but be someone better suited for this. I have never even left the city.
