It does seem a bit fishy

I understand the need to add "flavor" for making your hand slot item a gauntlet or a hand wrap...but they're really just gloves. -.- Also gauntlets are ARMORED gloves. Couldn't I use them as a cestus to punch someone in the face? I feel like that's breaking the rules somewhere...
Falconry gauntlets were just leather...they are technically many different types of gloves.

Looking at some falconry gloves specialist sites, they seem to use the term interchangeably. And by definition, it seems that a gauntlet is just a longer glove that can be armored sometimes.

Lol. Apparently a gauntlet is also a hazing ritual where a guy runs between a two lines of guys and they slap him with switches or weapons as he passes....O.o

This is my first time posting as well. Actually, my friend told me to help brainstorm with him to help him think of an item so I started thinking. He came up with something that he liked however, and I was still stewing on my own idea and decided to submit it. I came up with the item actually just because I wanted to use it in the game we were playing.

I'm not even thinking if I go to the next round or not, but there's just suspense in the waiting all the same.

Good luck everyone! =D

I was thinking of starting up a gaming mag with a couple of friends of mine, but I'm not sure how the OGL really works. I've been looking all over the site and the forums and found very little about it. (So if you have a link, and I've just been really lame in not finding it, please post it!)

The point of the magazine is providing a source for DMs and players to use to help enhance game play. It's not a new idea, I know, but working on graphic design and illustration in college (and being a huge fan of Pathfinder) I thought it would be a fun thing to do.

I wasn't planning on using anything named in the books, but it's really hard not referencing somethings (like creating a new feat that used Toughness as a prereq or referencing spells and new ways to use them). Primarily it would be using the Pathfinder system.

So how do I go about doing this without stepping on anyone's toes? (I'm a poor college grad, so I really don't want to be sued.) Furthermore, where do I get the information for the OGL (such as the proper text for citing purposes) and what do I need to include into the mag to properly cite sources?

Thanks!
