Name: Loot's General Goods
Owner: Loot ??? (Dwarf Rogue) NE
Description- The foremost noticeable feature is the sign out front with messy paint spelling out, "we buy everything, no questions". Paired with barred windows and black curtains blocking the windows the outside looks sketchy enough to start.
Upon entering the shop is pitch black except for the front desk. Loot turns on a small burner that illuminates 2 ft, revealing half of his face behind a gas mask. He follows through on his promise but only buys things at 1/4 their price. Thieves can sell their stolen hot property there, one can sell the kings stolen crown or a famous painting loot buys them all for 1/4 the price. He sells "questionable" items up to dm discretion. When transactions are complete Loot turns off the burner returning the shop to pitch black. The PC (hopefully without dark vision) will have to stumble over displayed items, carpets and trinkets on their way as they try to feel their way toward the door. Loot yells at them when they knock over things. When loot turns out the light, if someone creates light they see he has mysteriously vanished. In reality he simply have a silent secret compartment in his front desk he hides in too watch his players and make sure they don't steal. If the authorities catch on that he buys hot property, he buys them off, or black mails just the right person.
Hes friendly as long as you mean to make both of you some money.

Owner: Edmund Maker
The shop consists of a mobile forge on wheels and smithy owned and operated by Edmund. Its trademark is to have black smoke leaving the shop at all times. The shops exterior has arrow slits to defend against looters. The sign is an image of a sword hovering above an anvil. The store is operated by a gang of dwarfs that only sell to dwarfs. If any other race wishes to enter the store they must do a service for Edmund benefiting dwarf kind or simply getting him some special materials.
Sells: sells special Dwarven made weapons along with medium-heavy armor.
Slogan: "If your a dwarf, you can pay it forth, if not!.... GET OUT"


Might be a little late but my favorite has to be South Cheese. He was a gnome summoner and his edilon was an angry ass wolf. He spoke with a southern accent and the wolf spoke in a low angry voice. Both were CN because the gnome enjoyed stealing things and didn't care for law and the wolf... well enjoyed eating other creatures. The interaction between the two made the table laugh. For instance, after stealing a CLW wand south cheese failed his spell craft to identify it. So instead of waiting he just tested it on the wolf as the wolf yelled at him. The wolf promptly attacked his master doing massive damage as retribution. The two dislike each other but are the same character so I found it hilarious. The wolf would purposely piss off south cheese by walking in front of it and defecating or something obnoxious.


whats with the power gaming? make a character concept first before trying to make the big stupid fighter.


I read over others backstories, they are just fun to read if I have free time. Love to get character ideas.

The unnamed paladin was born into a family where the mother was a talented cleric granting the sacred touch power.
Being a faithful paladin he always has manacles to detain offenders of the law and good with the hopes that instead of killing them, redemption is possible. With that in mind he also has been lied to many times in his travel and has caught on to an easy trick to detect liars. This has granted him the law enforcer trait.
Feats- Lvl 1 Toughness Lvl 3 Selective Channeling Lvl 5 Skill Focus sense Motive
Will update to level 5 if selected for campaign. For equipment etc.
Can be used to fill variety of positions since diplomacy will be used.
Unnamed.... has always lived a carefree life with elves living with harmony in nature, rules were not as valued as so and so thought they should have been. Upon reaching adult hood so and so left his brothers and sisters to pursue a meaningful existence. The paladin future was most desired and so the mantle of paladin was achieved in order to bring law, order, and goodness to all no matter the cost.
Striving towards Law brought shame upon the unnamed man, but his quest for law and good persuaded him not to care. Dishonored by his family he abandoned the notion that they were his family and that his family are the ones at his side, fighting evil and the chaos that dwells in many people.
So and so isn't easily intimidated and doesn't enjoy talking with people who don't have the general welfare of others in mind. With a non-impressive wisdom score so and so sometimes is rash to decisions and quick to yelling with decent charisma. As time went on so and so found his way to working as an ambassador for the church/military. As LG he could fill either.
