About Alister Redtail
Alister Redtail was born in a small town where he and his parents were among the most popular inhabitants, due to their arcane exploits and their dazzling personalities. Although the town that Alister lived in was very small, it was near a city that was often host to nobility for events, ceremonies, etc. Occasionally, these nobles would pass through Alister's town to get to the city, and still rarer, these nobles would even lodge overnight in Alister's town.
One day, the Morworth family came to Alister's town to overnight on the way to the city for a ball. The Morworths were known slavers, so the townsfolk were very nervous about hosting them in their town.
Alister saw how the Morworths treated their slaves, who acted as the family’s servants. The Morworths were very cruel to these slaves, most of whom where halflings and humans. The family members would speak harshly to the slaves at all times and they would overwork them and try to find any way they could to demean them.
Alister’s family and the other townsfolks were disgusted by this, so they devised a plan to help the slaves escape. The innkeeper invited the family to a feast that, although was not as fancy as what the nobles were accustomed to, was still pretty impressive. As they greedily ate, Alister cast a sleep spell on the family members. While the masters slumbered, Alister's family and other townsfolk worked to disguise the slaves and gave them some supplies as well as the names and addresses of family members in other towns who could shelter them for a bit as they tried to rebuild their lives as free individuals.
Alister was so heartened by being part of that great act that he decided to join the Pathfinder Society, so he would have more opportunities to help those in need.
