The Goldenmane's are known for being a wealthy lordship with a following of zealot paladins standing as their soldiers. Rumors of misconduct and abuse from the patriarchates of the family were known but quickly and forcibly stamped out. Sheltered from those words he heroics of following in his family footsteps has been a dream of Aleric's since childhood. Trained since birth in following orders and being a knight he was a great example of what his family wanted from him. Near the end of his training things took a tragic turn. Like it always odes the ugly truth surfaced. Aleric was asked to bring a suspected child thief to one his mentors. Returning into the room Aleric was the true evil being inflicted on that child. His world and mind breaking he violently slew the naked man before him and fled. More than a decade later this boy grew into broken man. Using his skills to whatever would keep him fed and in chemical bliss he is a shattered image of what he once saw for himself. Keeping the Goldenmane name to shame his family with the crime he now lives by hoping the taunt will bring his demise, retribution, or his greatest fear; salvation.
