Aldon chuckles at the exchange between Lydran and Hern while he helps gathers gear to bring back to camp. " Gentleman, please, the task at hand? you're both making enough noise to bring a whole herd of those beasts on us. Lets make haste and get back to dry land. Nother left we can do for these poor souls."
Sorry for the absence, Busy weekend Back at the camp:
" I am Aldon Rook, of the Rook family, of magnimar. I am a skilled huntsman, I have survival training, tracking skills, and quite a shot with me Crossbow. What I am not too keen on is Magic, all that finger wiggling, I never understood it.... No offense, Mr. Enrelios." Currently on the ship Not shocked by the size of the creature at all, Aldon calmy Cocks his crossbow, Takes aim, and fires combat round 1: I have precise shot, no -4 for shooting into melee atk (+7 base. +1 PBS, -2 sway)
dmg (1d10 base, +1 pbs)
If this in an animal add +2 to atk roll, and dmg
After recovering his Gear, and Helping Fugg setup camp, Aldon sits down and checks over his Crossbow again.. "Blasted wreck... got the string all wet, no wonder I missed.." Aldon looks around, Thinking to hiself, letting his survival training kick in. " The beach makes a Fine camp for now, but we should move a littel most inland when we get a chance, After mid dya of course, the sun will sap the strength from our limbs. Is everyone alright? no injuries?"
Drawing a fully loaded Volley' from the pile of Gear, Aldon steps back a bit, studies the creature a bit, takes aim and Fires actions: kn: nature check to see the creature type, Is it an animal? 5 foot step back to E9 Takes aim at Eu4 and fires atk (+7 base, +1 point blank shot, -2 sickened)
dmg( 1d10 base, +1 point blank shot)
add +2 to hit and dmg if monster is an "animal"
Aldon Dodges the Creature's attack, more on instinct than anything else.. " The beach..? How did we get here?.. Where is Volley? I'll put an end to this damn crab thing.." he thinks to himself A Quick scan shows a pile of Gear behind him, He rolls toward the gear, away from the Beast, and searches for his beloved Crossbow "Blast ye' Bug thing! leave me be!" ooc: I 5 foot step back to E8 and look though the pile of stuff for my crossbow.
"Twas' only a young one, not a 'Massive green' as you delt with Winks But he put up a good fight, If not for old Volley' striking true, I'd have been finished. I tracked the little bugger from a Small town outside sandport into the country side. The Mayor said the green had just started demanding their sheep as payment for not destroying their town. The mayor, thinking himself something of a scholar, felt the young wrym was acting a little big for his Britches. So they sent message for me, and I tracked him down.... What a thrill! To hunt something that can very well hunt you back! Har hahha"
Sitting in what shade he could find, Aldon tinkers with His weapon. He checks the crank, making sure its well oiled. His hands work Deftly, as if they have done this many, many times before. next, he scans the massive crossbow's String, checking for and loose strands, or frays. Finally, he checks the sights, they aim straight and true. Satisfied with his work, he draws a quiver of bolts, and begins to sharpen them, one, two, three passes w/ the whet stone to each side, then the other, He then loades the bolts into, what looks like wooded boxes, five a piece. Once finished, The older gentleman draws a Cigar from his shirt pocket and lights it up, puffing happly, and listening to the tall of a green dragon. " I have a tale of a Green dragon aswell! However mine ends not so happy for the green. Har haha"

How about a Half-Ogre (from Tome of Secrets) Barbarian? *If not i can play another Race* Half-Ogre:
+4 Strength, +2 Constitution, -2 Intelligence,
Gormok was kicked out of his Ogre Tribe for being "Weak and Puny" by Ogre Standards, and being too "Smart". What the other Ogre's didn;t understand is gormok is only Half-Ogre. His Mother, who after a Raid on a neightboring town, forced a Human male to do things he never wanted to do (she was Very Drunk, and he was "pretty"). a few months later she gave Birth to Gormok. He seemed Ok at first, but never grew as big as his friends, or as strong. But was very, very much Smarter. The Chief didn't like this, Gormok used big words, with mroe that four letters. the Chief felt Gormok did this on purpose, to taunt him. So he was exiled from his tribe. Gormok Left to explore the World on his own, finding places to adventure, explore, hoping some day, to find a place he would fit in. Epic rolls: str
**edit, damn, with those scores, maybe I'll try Rage Prophet.
Along with Being too "Smart" Gormok was also Haunted. When ever he would set something down, it would move to a different spot. No matter how many times he tried to pull a itme from his pouch, he always got the wrong one. The Chief though this was bad juu-juu, Gormak could count past 3, and was haunted! **also, I work at a Call center form 10-630 est m-f, I'm always on the boards, and always chekc the games! lol |
