The benefactor was the one that brought his friend out to replace Starrett as preacher for these parts, therefore he seems to be a rival of some sort for Starrett. As far as speaking about secrets, I know why I made the journey out this way- to avoid past mistakes and things I'd rather were left unknown about me, and from the time we've spent together it sort of seems that the rest of you might be doing the same. I appreciate the opportunity, if you think just a few of us can bring him in easier than a large group, well you are the Sheriff. Albrecht retires to his room after speaking with the Sheriff, and makes sure his revolver is loaded and cleaned and that he gets a good night's sleep to make sure he is ready for the day to come. I think Winona might have confused Albrecht with Samuel, if so... Albrecht settles into the food provided by Miss Concord and relates to her and Many Clouds his belief that this 'Bly' fellow is some sort of plant and his certainty that their attackers were not Crow, pointing out their native usage of English and their boots and gun belts under their outfits, all signs that they were not of Native ancestry. I'm glad I came here tonight- taking the Sheriff's money at cards never bodes well as the start to time spent in a new town. While the three of them talk and after he has eaten, Albrecht also takes out his journal and starts to chronicle the events of the last few days in its pages.

After that, he will attempt to meet with the other four that had been brought together by simple chance to decide what they wanted to do next, as he was not at all convinced that this "Bly" was on the level- for one thing, no one had gotten off the train alive save them, and for another he was quite certain that their attackers were not Crow at all, and anyone who had spent any amount of time with them should not have been fooled by their ruse, unless they were a complete moron.

Ah Hell, safety in numbers it is, then, Albrecht exclaims as he walks back to the group. Rummaging around in his bulging backpack, he removes a heavy blanket and then wraps it snugly around the elderly lady to help her with her shaking. He then takes the heavy leather duster he was carrying and put it on, seeming to take some comfort himself in the weight of it around his body it might not be obvious but the duster is studded leather armor and this is why he seems reassured by it He then checks one of the carbines to make sure it is armed and if not he arms it and then shoulders it and stores the ammo for it in a belt pouch, he also reloads the two spent rounds from his own revolver. This prepared for battle, he turns back to the group, Supplies- food and water, and anything else of use to us right now, let's see what we can find... One other thing, I guess I might as well tell you, the name is Hutton, Albrecht Hutton. Not so well met, but met nonetheless.

Once he's outside with whatever weapons and ammunition he was able to gather up from the soldiers' corpses, Albrecht finds a spot outside the burning train to sit and consider his next move Wounded and scared people who will only slow me down, I can't stay here with them or I'm gonna die and I'm too handsome to die yet... he thinks to himself with a small chuckle at his own joke. But women and children against armed bandits who made it clear that they'd be back for any and all witnesses- can I really leave these people to die? Then again, it's not just me here- there was that fella with rifle, definitely a former soldier, and the woman who shot back, maybe a few others I didn't notice, didn't that actual Indian say something about horses and needing them? Maybe these people will be okay without me after all... And with his mind made up, he turned to the assembled people and simply stated, Anyone who can shoot, divide the rifles up among yourselves- look out for each other and remember those bandits said they'd be waiting for you.
