Appearance:
Akulayok is tall and athletically built. He is tanned with dark eyes. His hands are callused and strong from use. His features are sharp and hard.
Personality:
Personality: Akulayok is quiet, always. He moves quietly, speaks little, and kills swift and silent. He is a man of action, not of words. He has a restless spirit, one that pushes him to test himself against dangerous challenges where failure means death. Death is a constant in the harsh lands he grew up in. He has learned to accept it, while at the same time challenging death in all its forms be it the cold of the ice and snow or the claws and teeth of deadly prey.
Akulayok respects the Erutaki people, but he does not feel as one of them. He is not content to live and die in one land. He wants to see the birthplace of his father and walk amongst his father’s people. He wonders if his father still lives since legends say elves are immortal. If he found elves, perhaps they could tell him where his father is. It is not his utmost concern, but it is of interest to him.
Akulayok does not like to lead or follow. He feels he knows what he can do well and what he cannot. He does not offer to do what he cannot. He will do what he can do well to ensure he and his companions complete whatever task they are given be it a great hunt prior to the coming of deep winter or tracking down a dangerous predator threatening the Erutaki.
His greatest drive is the hunt. The hunt of worthy prey is the purpose of his life. He hunts animals for food and needs. He hunts more dangerous enemies for the challenge. The ultimate hunt for him would be to kill a dragon or fiend whose reputation was of such worth that it made the one that killed them into a legend. The ultimate hunt is what he seeks.
Akulayok has never met a king or emperor. He knows nothing of being ruled by such people. His people are tribal. No one demands to be treated as though they are above the others. Wisdom is valued over birth. Men and women are held in equal standing and allowed a voice amongst the Erutaki. He does not understand the idea of orders. He would treat orders as a request doing what is asked if he felt it worthy of him to do. The idea of empress or king holds no meaning to him. Friend and family he understands and would give his life for either.
