Aetherni also wants to go and do something. This day has been to boring on the road, but there was more. "Hey fellows, we were talking about investigating those missing sheep. That called our attention, and it might be there's more to it than it seems so far. If we investigate and find something, maybe it will help the council to make the best decision. And of course, knowing about more than one emerging point would be awesome, and we can get more clues, if that's the case. Can we go and take a quick look?"

Aetherni is also concerned with the man stubborness. He touches his party members, so they would be inspired by the glory of their quest, to better try to get a result outta this. You have +1 in a charisma check for the next hour. "Listen, Sire. Think twice about what you are listening, cause 'this certainly no con." So far he was having a battle to tell them more, and finally sincerity won. "Dark times approach, sire, and those who do not ready themselves will probably perish. It might be we are wrong, tough. It might be there is no real army readying themselves to conquer all these lands. Maybe the duergar we captured and his impressive underground war ground were just a trick someone very clever made, and he certainly convinced the entire Bronce about it. In your place I would probably be doing the same you're doing, asking myself what these outsiders are talking about, but I cannot do that, since I don't even know where my home is. The five of us were born under the stars, a sign that a great peril is coming, and we're just doing our part. So far we've managed to find the Sword of Starkweather John, which should be proof enough, if you are wise. Time is running fellows."

It's not like you can return being my best friend in the blink of an eye, you know... Old grudges die hard... "Indeed, save for the sheep. We should investigate swiftly if we can. Let them start their long debate. We put our case to the test and move to investigate that. Maybe we will find another duergar overseer... What do you think?"

Aetherni is not pleased with the news. "If you don't mind us rushing them up... Your time and ours is the same. If you take too long to make up your decision we will not be able to save you. There are other villages ahead that need to be warned to, and we're using more time than necessary with each of them. It is likely there are drow under our spot already." "While we wait, could you please detail this missing sheep you mentioned? Also, was there anything wrong going around? Like holes showing up, people disappearing, or everyday stuff turning weird?"

Aetherni nods to the human. "No, it's not only you, she shows off as much as you do." He makes a confused face and then realizes that was not his meaning. "Oh, sorry, yeah yeah she is showing off, but I think it's a halfling thing... The ones I know... wait, I can't remember any..." He shakes his head. Maybe it was for the best...

Thanks! "Aetherni! It may also be that someone is using tunnels below earth, and they tried to kill this creature, but it escaped. Well, not really escaped, after all, but you get my meaning..." The dwarf rescues his horse from loneliness, mounts and follows up!

Aetherni kicks the creature on the floor, just to be sure it's really dead, then removes the bolt, and also the small weapon to return it to the halfling. "Yeah, well, as he said. Problem is on its way, so we better have a conversation, and judging by this feathered bolt that came along with the creature, I would say we don't have much time. Look, it's the same bolt that killed Jim's Thug. Or at least it looks like it." For Aranu's sake, what's the deceased boys name again?

Nice speech you got there! "Indeed!" That's all the dwarf says, but his action of stopping the creature's attacks are certainly going to favor their side even more. Diplomacy aid: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Being more normal than the goblin, and using the heaviest armor, Aetherni will try to help the small guy with words, almost screaming so everyone could hear him, while he keeps his shield up in a defensive posture, not daring to leave the creature alone with the goblin. "Back away everyone! We've got this covered! Move to a safe position everyone."
I just recalled I avoided investing in diplomacy because Vorik had it...

Aetherni moves at top speed, which by normal standard is not much, clanging and hopping while he charges the beast in a non-graceful manner, to strike at it with his Waraxe!

By the way, have we rested after the fight with the duergar? Untrained Knowledge: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Aetherni sees the opportunity as the perfect invitation into the city, minding not for "It doesn't matter if it's poisoned or not. It may hurt someone, we have to deal with it! Let's go!" He moved his horse 30 feet closer and dismounted.

Aetherni waves a hand to the goblin, careful not to fall from his horse while doing that. "Don't be ridiculous. If we did that we would have to leave half the party outside the city. And don't think there will be walls, cause there certainly won't be any, as in Bronson... They may as well see our visit as a sign that bad things are about to happen. It will help our cause."

Aye!! Aetherni also does not like the horse, but with his short legs and heavy armor he could not hamper the party by complaining about it. He kept his mouth shut and observed everything around them, greeting the farmers they met on the road, but avoiding speaking more than that with them, so they could on with their business. They had a goal already. "So, 'this dusk coming again! We shoulda try to get when the sun is up next time. Helps with the first impression, you know!"

Well, welcome back definitely, for once! Aetherni is still in the same spot. I remember we woke up in the Stonehenge island, defeated some shadow goblins, then went into the city. On the very first night we found John's greatsword and Vorik has it. We also made a mess in the city, but after everything calmed down we slept and went to investigate the children disappearance at sunrise. Then we found the trail leading to the mines, and took Leth by surprise. We spoke with TWF and made a deal to get the kids back, but then the rain was harsh and we were afraid we would all get drowned. After separating from the hobbies we found someone running, and came back into town but then the boy was found dead. And I cannot keep writing cause I need to sleep so please someone finish that ^_^ Congratulations Vorik!

It happened exactly like the first time. He was having trouble with the job and then after several days with regular posting, just disappeared... But yes, we would never know if he passed away or something like that...

Indeed I worry more with continuing this game than finding other players. That is really easy, but judging for the time past and no signal of Tarlane I'm starting to get pessimist about it (not that will make any difference anyway, since I'll still be around for months)

"I agree with Drombar, Drow. Also, hopefully they won't stay here long enough to be a target, but in any case, we have no chance against a single archer killer on these hills, Drow. You and me are slower than life, we cannot hope to catch him unprepared in a terrain like this. He will simply run away."

Sorry if I took too many liberties, but I've tried to put the decision on his hands, making it easier for us. I've often heard that harsh situations change people far better than long-term care, but who knows?

The dwarf makes some momentum raising the bottle over his head and tosses it with all his strength in the floor, breaking it into several pieces and spoiling the contents. He speaks in a kinda angry voice, but speaks slowly, cause otherwise the hobgoblin will not understand. "Stop. Being. A. Coward! We are buried in shit, and we need you to be strong right now, if you want to one day avenge your companions. Only death waits for you if you stay, and we are leaving. IF you want to come with us, first you will have to stop being a coward and stop drinking." He walks away for Leth, keeping his ears alert in case the hobgoblin tries to avenge his broken companion-bottle. "Please translate it to him in case he doesn't understand, Mogwai."
