Due to circumstances beyond my control relating to various aspects of my life (family, work, and health) I am afraid that, for the time being, I must leave the games for now. I apologize for not posting sooner, but, as stated, things have gotten beyond hectic in my life.

I am sorry for any troubles this may pose in the games. I wish you all the best in both life and games, and who knows? Maybe in the near future I will be able to play with you all once again in a different game.

Turning over his weapons readily enough, Aerodus smiles at the orderliness that this is being done in. Seeing Litsy still worried, he places a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. This is just business."

Nodding at the young noble before he dashes off, Aerodus turns to the others. "It appears, Litsy, that there are others in Korvosa who share similar convictions about our Queen as you. But let us continue and pray that we face no more... Ruffians."

Also, I apologize for the absence. Between the festive weekend, horrible weather Monday, and spending a large amount of time at the doctors Tuesday (I'm fine, but now on several meds), I found my energy for games those days, well, sapped. Catching up now, will post ASAP.

Stepping in as he hears the suggestions flying around the table, Aerodus gives a small cough. "A royal brooch is in our possession? Then are we not honor-bound to return it? Why, it may grant us an audience with our city's ruler, and might even curry some favor. At worst, we get questioned, but I suggest we simply state we acquired from a criminal who had been threatening us. Not a lie, but not the whole truth, either."

With no other words, Aerodus begins assuming his proper role in the Bank. But he finds himself being more and more distracted as the day wears on...

"The honor is mine to be here, good sir." Stepping in and making sure to stay clear of Shelyn's devoted in their magnificent dance, he bows deeply to the man. "An object of beauty has recently come into my possession from by an acquaintance of mine who is now... Indisposed and incapable of coming. But it is with the kindest of wishes that I present it to you." Pulling from a pocket the abalone-shell holy symbol, the almost metallic luster on it shimmering.

"A small donation to the Bank of Abadar, and we'll gladly surrender it to you."

FLEX FOR AERODUS:
Returning to his home, Imperia in tow, he sees to it that she is fine. She had been mistreated, that was certain, and though he wanted desperately to see to her continued needs, his needs to the city came forth. Setting her to bed with plans to get her friends over later in the day, he heads to the temple of Shelyn to turn in for a small reward the holy symbol. Once done, he would hurry to the Bank of Abadar and check in, knowing that the death of the King was a time of momentous change. He would also wait to see if any of the orphans arrive, intent to reward them properly.

"You... You're right, Zellara. I apologize." Looking down at Imperia, he pats her shoulder.

"I'm taking my daughter home now, friends. But I feel that the troubles Zellara speaks may be tied to us somehow. Call it a hunch. We should meet back here, say, in the evening? Discuss what to do next?"

Also, Aerodus plans to take the Shelyn holy symbol and turn it over to the temple of Shelyn for a reward and sign of trust between the two faiths.

Dashing to Imperia, Aerodus holds her as he listens to Zellara. Nodding, he looks at the cards.

"Troubles... The bells!" He looks to the others, a little wide-eyed. "The bells! Why would they have rang out for so long at such an odd time? Something must have happened."

Looking down to Imperia, he helps her up. "I need to get to the Bank. Zellara, you need not apologize, though I am a little off put for your having not told us all your little secret. But thanks to you, a great evil has been dealt with."

"Children..." He looks to the orphan kids. "I'll come by and provide some food for you, drop off a couple of coins as well. But I suggest you come to the Bank. We can always do with a few hard working acolytes."

For Aerodus, no. He wants to maybe get a quick card reading, if that is what Giorgio is implying, then shuffle back to the house to collect Imperia. He wants to rush to the Bank, see what all the bell tolls are for mostly.

Aerodus, visibly sickened by the sight of the head, nods as Giorgio reboxes it. "A fine idea. Let's see how the cards read, then? Maybe her spirit lingers through these cards?"

"Those bells... Something is amiss..." Heeding Litsy's statement Aerodus glares down at Lamm and then walks to see what she had found.

"Let's see here... Oh my, this is a small fortune. I think, for the sake of the temple, I'll take the Shelyn stmbol to give to their temple. The rest you all may divide as you see fit. And might I suggest that you take the money and open accounts at the Bank? I can speak with my superiors to see if I can't net you an income of 3% interest on any you turn in per year. Great way to invest!"

Once certain that Giorgio will be fine, Aerodus rises and approaches Lamm's body. Hauling it out of the water, he glares at the corpse.

"Well, least we can do is report the body to the authorities. He'll get thrown into an unmarked grave face down, as befitting his kind. But it'll be a message to those who feel they can abuse the system and peoples of Korvosa."

Well, the only thing I can think of, Aest, is if you ever, at any time, feel the story is beginning to slow, just roll some dice. Do something random. Throw a quirky or not-so-quirky npc at the party or something along them lines.

As long as the story moves and the party enjoys themselves, you're doing a wonderful job. If the game pauses and everyone stands grasping for straws, then the job being done is not so good.

So far, you have done very, very well. Keep at it, and I'm sure the AP will be one of those highly memorable games we'll all be talking about for years to come.

Oh, I'm not worried. Just need to pick up a few specific feats and I'll be doing magnificently. That is, of course, if the party doesn't die all around me by then XD

Giving a small prayer to Abadar, Aerodus reloads. Taking aim at the one on Litsy, Aerodus pulls the trigger.

Though he was about to fire upon the one Kazadarin was attacking, he notes that the ranger seems to have that handled. Reloading the crossbow, he instead aims at the one moving in on Laijiri.

Aerodus shakes his head. "Well, someone needs to go search it. There may be other children in danger right at this moment!" He starts for the door. "Is no one willing to press on? The cities very core is being eroded by this man, businesses weakened, children exploited, Imperia... He must pay!"

Aerodus, growing impatient some, walks over towards Giorgio. "So, can he be in there or no? Lamm needs to be taken down, and now. The longer we wait, the better the chance now that he suspects something amiss and runs off."

Turning to his allies, Aerodus shrugs. "Anyone think thet can check for a way in? Or will we need to jump aboard like some foolish Shackles pirates?

Aerodus carries Imperia up the stairs to one of the rooms, setting her softly on one of the beds. Running a hand through her hair, he frowns at the sore on her face. "I'll be back soon, Imperia. Just rest up."

Standing, he heads down the stairs to Zellara. "If she wakes up, tell her I'll be back shortly to take her home. And boys!" He looks at the two boys present. "If you ever need food or clothes, come by the Bank, I'll cover the costs some. Now, Litsy, let's go get Lamm." He opens the door and heads back into the streets.

Nodding, Aerodus looks around. "I'll escort the children to Zellara's then. The sooner there, the sooner we can deal with Lamm. Together. That rat-bastard has to deal with me for this..."

He looks over at Litsy. "Assist me with the escort? And children, any who come and stay at the place I'll take you will get a silver."

Nodding, Aerodus places a hand on Zavi's shoulder. Then, looking at his comrades, he stands up while holding Imperia. "We need a safe place for the children. Can anyone escort them back to Zellara's?"

Seeing his daughter in such poor shape, Aerodus growls softly. "Lamm is gonna pay. You all here me, he is going to pay." Resting a hand on his daughter's forehead, he motions for Zavi to step closer.

"Come here, child, let's check you out. Any place for you to go? Family or anything?" Heal check to check out Zavi for injuries and such: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
