'That didn't seem to do anything, but I don't trust it, I'll stand here and keep an eye on it while you guys check out the rest of the room.' Adotiln states, then he puts his shield away and takes hold of his warhammer with both hands, ready to swing at it if it even looks like moving.

Readied action: Will attack it if it moves, will stay like this for the duration we are in the room.

Adotiln enters the room cautiously after Byden mentions feeling tired when entering, but the wave has no effect on him besides making his beard tingle. 'I'm good to go, do we want to flank it and let Ratchet check it over?' Adotiln remarks, hefting his Warhammer and moving to stand opposite it, his shield raised.

Did I see we get a lvl up? Will do that later. I hate our ISP... but I'm back finally.

Sorry to be a pest, right in the middle of combat, but we're in the process of moving, and they've just informed us we wont have phone or internet for 2 weeks, and our mobile reception at the new place is sketchy at best, enough for the occasional SMS, no mobile data. So can you please GMPC my character for a few weeks? Thanks.

Adotilm grunts a thanks for the armor, giving his hammer a few test swings to get used to the feel of it.

After Byden has suggested making camp he seconds the idea, 'Aye, that'd be an idea, who knows wha' lurks further in this place, rested would be good. I ken tend tah peoples wounds, 't wouldn't be tha first time and won't be the last.

if no one objects I help set up some barricades to make the lab more defensible

Adotiln looks mournfully at the legs, hating to see a life ended so brutally. 'I'm more'n happy to let you do things at your pace Ratchet' he states.

He accepts Bydens suggestion of changing armor and lends him a hand doing up his new set.

I have Spellcraft as a class skill no ranks so not trained In it.

Adotiln shakes his head at Senna, 'Sorry lass, me'n magic aren't so good t'gether, I canna help you with those wands'.

Adotiln sees the small humanoid screaming and roaring and immediately takes a swing at it with his warhammer. Even though it has been many a year since he has manned a forge his aim still strikes true with a heavy blow.

Assuming a 21 probs hits it? if not we're screwed :P

Adotiln eyes off the egg suspiciously, he didn't know, nor care much for the Planes and the critters which dwelt there, figuring if he left them alone they'd return the favour. Scratching his beard, he remarks, 'We sure tha' things safe te be carryin' 'round? What're the chances of some evil critter poppin' its nasty little head out from one of them planes if'n ye look at it funny?'

Adotiln fingers his holy symbol nervously, 'If'n i' be as bad as it's been so far me thinks this room wont give up her treasure so easy...'.

'I might stand back here, someone needs to survive to stitch ye back t'gether.'

Adotiln waits by the doorway, watching Ratchet closely, ready to jump in with a heal or two if need be.

'Tha's colder then ha blasphemer's soul! Adotiln gasps as he jumps back, 'I reckon tha' fire might only make it mad..

Anyone else got any bright ideas? he asks, then watches as Ratchet prepares his vial of acid, and breathes a sigh of relief when it seems to do something. 'Keep it up laddie, it seems to be workin'!' He encourages as it starts to dissolve.

Action is to encourage Ratchet, and if the mold starts to move again, back up further.

Adotiln mutters his thanks as he takes the flint and steel, then tears off a strip of cloth from the bottom of his already tattered coat and wraps it around a rock. Tipping a bit of lamp oil on it he the proceeds to light it, 'Damn!' he shouts as his glove catches fire.

He throws it quickly at the mold before ripping the glove off and stomping on it.

Adotiln pats his pockets, 'Dammit! I canna believe I left wi'hout mah flint, anyone else got one?' he exclaims, looking somewhat irritated at his forgetfulness.

'Wha' manner of mold is this? Looks worse then my Mah's bread!' Adotiln exlaims, before picking up a small stone.

'Wonder wha' happens if ye throw a rock a'it' he muses, before pegging it at the wretched stuff.

To nobody in particular, since there is no one there, Adotiln mutters, 'If'n I were of a more brave bent I might look down there but me thinks it'd be best to try rejoin the group, now what damn colour did I find that arrow on...'.

With that he stands back and scratches his head for a moment, then turns the slab towards orange.

Assuming the original elevator lifts up again...

'Ah-hah! This'd better be the one' he proclaims, and steps in...

Lost in his own thoughts about the lanterns Adotiln doesn't realize till it's too late that the others have stepped into the chamber and the doors have shut. 'Oy! ye forgot me!' he hollers after them as he watches the chamber sinking.

He moves over to the platform and tries rotating it, stopping it at each color and waiting a little while to see if anything moves.

Adotiln finishes examining the hallways and makes it back just in time to watch Ratchet singe himself. He watches with mild amusement, as it appears the flames weren't too bad, and Ratchet seemed quick enough on his feet. 'Gonna take you a lil' while to grow tha' beard back' he rumbles, 'If your done playin' with fire, these hallways each have a lantern in'em like that fresco back there, same order, 'cept they're missin' the Indigo and Red lantern's. The green one seems lit, but the light dunna burn, unlike Ratchet over here.'

Not recognizing the figure Adotiln is content to let those with more experience in these things mess around with traps, 'I'll be inspectin' these hallways, I'll come runnin' to put yer corpses back te'gether again if'n I hear screamin' he proclaims and heads down each hallways having a sticky beak.

perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Also, checking the color of the lanterns dangling at each chain, if they're coloured are they in the same sequence as the fresco depicted earlier, if not what sequence are they in. If the light down there is too dim to establish this I'll cast light on my warhammer

Adotiln clunks into the room and stops, staring in wonder at the patterns of light, 'Well I'll be...' he mutters, before shifting his attention to the bas-relief figure on the sarcophagus.

will assist Ratchet in searching, so perception check to give a plus two to his search (which failed 'cause I got less then 10 >.<), also Dwarves have the Stonecunning ability "Stonecunning: Dwarves gain a +2 bonus on Perception checks to notice unusual stonework, such as traps and hidden doors located in stone walls or floors. They receive a check to notice such features whenever they pass within 10 feet of them, whether or not they are actively looking."

Adotiln stops to take a breath, resting casually against his warhammer. 'Lads, I dunna mind a bit'a dark, so unless you want to light a wee torch i'm all for headin' in'.

Seeing no objections, he hefts his hammer again, and follows Byden.

Hmmm, never played in the Greyhawk campaign setting before, but that's OK, I'll do a little bit of research. I'll also ponder which chapter to go with, because I was thinking of a helper of the sick and poor, but also a righteous type :P
