Blessings

Good - Holy Strike (minor): At 1st level, you can touch one weapon and bless it with the power of purity and goodness. For 1 minute, this weapon glows green, white, or yellow-gold and deals an additional 1d6 points of damage against evil creatures. During this time, it's treated as good for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction. This additional damage doesn't stack with the additional damage from the holy weapon special ability.
Healing - Powerful Healer (minor): At 1st level, you can add power to a cure spell as you cast it. As a swift action, you can treat any cure spell as if it were empowered (as the Empower Spell feat), causing it to heal 50% more damage (or deal 50% more damage if used against undead). This ability doesn't stack with itself or the Empower Spell feat.

Appearance & Background
--------------------
Abdel-Kadir Khayam was born to a rather poor family of wandering storytellers who travelled the breadth of northern Garund, from Azir in Rahadoum to Sothis in Osirion. Always hitching on with other travellers, for going alone through the desert is a death wish, they eked out a very minor life. It did, however, allow him to see wonders few would believe.
But the greatest wonder was one he experienced in Sothis around his 13th birthday. Some adventurers had recently returned from some long lost tomb with a few baubles and treaures, and he encountered them near the bar his family was playing in. Intrigued, he listened close as they revealed what appeared to be a small clay doll. But then one of them removed it's top, and a sudden burst of hot air filled the street.
A fire elemental had been sealed within, and enraged at it's captivity for untold ages, lashed out at all around it. Abdel-Kadir took the brunt of the whirling cyclone of fire and hate.
Laying in the street, burnt and near death, a priestess in robes of skyblue and gold appeared. Fighting off the elemental, she took knee and prayed to the Goddess of the Sun to heal the youth of his injuries.
Just as he thought he was about to go to the Boneyard, Abdel-Kadir feels his wounds close, his burns soothe and his heart fill with the glory of Sarenrae.
The one who had saved him was named Shula Zahrah. Rising from his near-death experience, he pleadged himself to her own faith, his goal in life clear: to take the mantle of a warrior-priest of the Dawnflower. Shula, shocked to see such sudden dedication, agreed. His parents, not too pleased with this sudden change, were none-the-less devoted followers of the Everlight, and acquiesced.
The training was hard, difficult, nearly deadly at times. But under Shula's guidance and with the love to his goddess in his heart, Abdel-Kadir persevered. Now a man of 23 years, he stands tall and proud. His dark hair is kept in tight braids, and on his hip sways both his holy symbol, a gift to him from Shula, and his scimitar.
As a sidenote, though he is ethnically Kelishite, he was born and raised across northern Garund, adopting more of their style and behaviors than those of his Kelish ancestors. Though with his clerics robes decked out in reverence to the Dawnflower and a scimitar at hand, he looks very much like a stereotypical Kelish to the locals of Varisia, a land that his journeys with Shula have taken him.
