AMOSU makes a questioning face, "Is it not conceivable that the cultists could be converted to a more social acceptable religious option? We could target engines, communications and weapons, removing them as a threat. Then signal the Starfinders to retrieve them?" It then moves to repair the damaged systems.
AMOSU looks at the Doctor Captain dubiously, then shorts out several non-essential systems in the cargo holds. "Confirmed Captain Doctor, cargo bays have multiple systems no longer functioning. Assistance would be. Helpful?" It then peers at the screen to see the skittermander's response.
As the communication closes, AMOSU takes its position at the Engineering station and sets up secondary science station accesses. "It would seem speed is of the essence. I am prepared to initiate launch sequences once all report being in position and secured for take-off."
AMOSU levels its rifle, "I am sorry new life form, but I cannot allow you implement a natural selection protocol and consume my friends."
AMOSU then fires on the frab attacking Gus.

With the line from Analog secured around its waist, AMOSU quickly calculates a series of jumps and rolls to cross the tree-bridge.
Watching as the others cross, AMOSU braces itself using the near by rocks or trees. As the Doctor falls and Analog dives after him, AMOSU's eyes widen and then set as it prepares for the inevitable snap of the line.
AMOSU firmly affixes the cable around its waist, and tests the cable before allowing the team to cross. "A simple and elegant solution Analog. It seems your subroutines related to social and physical problem solving are highly advanced."
AMOSU looks at the fall tree, "Provided that you do not have sufficient difficulties balancing the tree should be stable enough to traverse." It takes a few steps onto the tree to show it's stability, then activates its internal jump jets and lightly bounces across. "If I can be of assistance to anyone or all crossing I am happy to do so."

It pauses, "Are the Quorlu able to communicate with us through our comm-units? It maybe useful to reference what baseline conditions are with our observations. Or perhaps one of studier constitution and higher education could travel with us?"
AMOSU helps the Quorlu secure the drow and the cultists. "Query, what are the Reddened Eye cultists? Can you expand on the elf's concepts of a holy war and experiment?"

Seeing its shot land soundly it glances sidelong at Analog then back to the drow, "That is how we address a female who parents were not married at her birth and who copulates wildly with the the mothers of other people!" Whispering to its, I do hope I am acclimating these social norms appropriately...

It's gaze shifts slightly and eyes widen at Analog's sudden change in demeanor. Hmmm... It draws its rifle and locks its targeting system onto the Drow.
AMOSU watches wistfully as the plinth fades into the foliage, "I'm sure we could've learned something..." It keeps step with the group and quickly turns its attention to the Quorlu as they walk, assessing and taking note of any biological adaptions it can as well as cultural mannerisms or displays.
When the team enters the settlement, AMOSU's wonder and excitement are plainly visible. As is the startled expression upon seeing the elf. It turns to face her, "Greetings, I am identified as AMOSU - Automated Maintenance & Operations Support Unit. I am please to assist with any technical needs you may require." It pauses and adds, "You seem to have interpreted our appearance as hostile and confused the situation? I can assure we are not, nor are we fighting a divine war. Perhaps you've confused us with others? Nor is there an imbalance here. Rather it appears to be a perfect, if precarious, balance in this system. Perhaps I can help correct your misunderstandings or you can proffer additional observations?" It keeps its puzzled, unblinking gaze on the Drow allowing her to process his statement.
"A perplexing and interesting species," it turns to Dr. Conway, "You are able to speak its language, what dialect is it? Is it highly or rudimentarily sentient?" It continues to monitor the exchange between the creature and the doctor, interject questions about the creature randomly.
As it returns its attention to the results, its face brightens "Perhaps your humor as sufficiently enhanced morale Analog! It appears we have narrowed the background signal sufficiently to attempt decoding..." Whispering to itself, "Truly masterful social skills."
