About 5ym0n

SFS Info:

SFS #: 1721-702
Experience: 4
Slotted Faction: Dataphiles
Wealth: 399 Credits
Reputation: 7 Fame, 7 Global Reputation

Reputation with Dataphiles: 7

Description:

Short and scrawny even for an Ysoki, 5ym0n's age is difficult to determine. Their graying brown fur is reasonably well-groomed and their eyes bear the image of a targeting reticule revealing their cybernetic nature. Their left arm is also obviously cybernetic and occasionally twitches in a way that is incongruous with the rest of 5ym0n's movements.

5ym0n's clothing is emblazoned in places with the name and logo of Tempest Game Labs™, a vidgame studio popular with many professional vidgamers and the tournament circle. When not occupied with other tasks they are often fiddling with the holographic display of their wrist-computer, no doubt playing some game or other.

Background:

5ym0n (pronounced Simon) is an orphan Ysoki who grew up in the slums of Verces. They worked as a Lab Assistant for a Drow Cybernetics Researcher who occasionally tested out new augmentations on 5ym0n. In their free-time, 5ym0n played vidgames and eventually started competing in and winning tournaments, even sometimes making real money at it. After a while, and a chance run-in with a group of Starfinders on a mission, 5ym0n decided to join the Starfinder Society.

Boons Earned/Purchased
This character was built at 2nd level thanks to the Scoured Stars Veteran Boon

Dataphiles Champion (Faction Boon)

Possessed Augmentation (Personal Boon):Convention Boon:

Benefit:You can start a new character with this free prosthetic limb already attached. You must slot this boon after acquiring this possessed limb. While this boon if slotted, you suffer from the penalty listed below
Penalty: The arm twitches sporadically under the most strenuous of circumstances. You take a -1 penalty to all Initiative checks and attack rolls with weapons that use that arm.
Once per scenario, you can attempt to fulfill one of the associated tasks in any order, though the final task must be performed last. Once you have completed all of the associated tasks, you have reached an accord with the spirit within the limb, no longer suffer its penalty, and gain the Completion Benefit
[ ] Task: You must deal a critical hit with a weapon wielded with your possessed augmentation against a significant foe. Doing so shows the spirit that you're willing to persevere, despite the annoyance caused by its manifestations.
[X] Task: You can humble the spirit within the prosthetic by showing you that its actions won't stop you from persevering. You must spend the entire adventure not fighting the limb. This doubles the penalties listed above for the duration of the scenario.
[ ] Final Task: You must defeat a foe whose CR is at least 2 higher than your character level. You do not need to deal the final blow, but your actions must have contributed to the foe's defeat in a significant way
Completion Benefit: Your prosthetic limb now works in tandem with you and all previous penalties are removed. You reduce the attack penalty to attack Rolls when performing a full attack with weapons in that hand by 1. Once per adventure, you can spend a Resolve Point to call on the spirit within your limb to either double the bonus associated with your limb for one round or allow you to re-roll a single Will save resulting from a hostile mind-affecting effect.

Allies in the Aeon Empire (Ally Boon):

During your mission to Wealdriad, you met with a group of shatoris from the Azlanti Star Empire. This group performed research outside of the Empire's purview, but they regularly operate within the Empire's borders. You can slot this boon at any point while operating within the Azlanti Star Empire to be able to make purchases following all of the normal rules for purchasing items. In addition, this boon might have other benefits in scenarios related to the Azlanti Star Empire, which your GM will make you aware of prior to slotting boons.

Digital Presence (Slotless Boon):

You work to propagate a thriving digital community.
Prerequisites: Dataphiles Tier 1
Cost: 0 Fame (see below)
Benefit: If you complete a scenario that you played online, such as by using a virtual tabletop or a play-by-post format, you earn 1 additional Fame and 1 additional Reputation with the Dataphiles faction (regardless of whether you have the Dataphiles Champion Faction boon slotted for that scenario).
Special: You can benefit from this boon only a number of times
equal to your current Reputation Tier with the Dataphiles faction
(maximum four total times at Reputation Tier 4). Each time you
fulfill the requirements of this boon, mark it on your Chronicle
sheet along with the associated Reputation Tier. Have the GM sign
beside this notation.

Equipment Descriptions

Technopathy Node:

Source: Starfinder Armory pg. 93
Item Level: 1; System: Throat
A small metallic node etched with arcane symbols implanted in your voice box allows you to silently vocalize messages to constructs with the technological subtype or to nearby computers designed to receive messages. As a standard action, you can send a short message in a language you know to up to three target creatures or computers you are observing within 100 feet and potentially receive a short reply, per telepathic message. Alternatively, as a standard action, you can send a short message in a language you know to a single target computer you are observing within 100 feet and have that computer display that message, allowing anyone observing that computer to read it without leaving any trace of the message’s origin.

Quick-Release Sheath Armor Upgrade:

Source: Starfinder Core Rulebook pg. 205
Item Level: 1
Slots: 1; Armor Type: Any; Bulk L
This articulated compartment can hold a one-handed weapon of no more than light bulk. You can activate this upgrade as a swift action to put the item in your hand as though you’d drawn it.
