My bad, thank you for letting me know!

Hello! My order has still not shipped, saying it's waiting on backordered products. But the only item in it is the most current Outlaws of Alkenstar volume, so I'm not sure why that would be the case? Any help is much appreciated, have a good afternoon!

It's about celebrating a good thing for Jim. For once can we as a community just be happy.

My order still hasn't shipped, claiming it's waiting for back order products. Anyone else have this issue with this book?

Can't stress how upset I am by the necessity, but they keep cutting hours at work, so I can't handle those books for the moment. Fingers crossed I get that new job and can pick it back up soon.

I thought the point of the thread was the garner support for the OP's father to get them the paid version. And feedback is good! Opinions are good! I wouldn't say "X is bad," or "X is clearly superior" is helpful. But to each their own.

That's what OP said they wanted, but they refused all advice and wouldn't explain what they needed the support for, so we quickly got off topic, and that is our bad.

Wanderer's Guide is incredibly slow and clunky, in order to level up you have to press edit and then go through the entire character builder again. Loading a new page if you want to add an ancestry feat or do something else. Loading a page is very slow the first time you do it (about 5-10 seconds) and still pretty slow the rest of the time(about a single second).

I find the UI somewhat unintuitive as well, clicking something brings up an info box that blocks half the page.

It is very pretty but for me Pathbuilder is a very smooth experience that makes it fun to build character while I find myself constantly frustrated whenever I use Wanderer's Guide.

It is slow. It's a program in beta, run by one guy, on one server, for free. It's naturally going to be slower than an app that rakes in money from people buying it, that also isn't designed to be visually appealing.

It's pretty amusing calling the UI unintuitive for blocking half the page, when Pathbuilder blocks... the entire page.

Wanderer's Guide isn't "frustrating", it's just not designed for you to go and change everything about your character all the time. It's a character sheet, the idea is that you only do that on leveling up.

Tracking your familiar/companions HP, AC, making sure you have the abilities you wanted slotted for the day, just... not having their stats memorized?

Man, is that opinion NOT the general consensus.

Most people find it extremely useful. I was using the free version with my animal companion and familiar owning characters before I paid some money

Oh, I know it's not the general consensus. Pathbuilder has been around for a while, and people are creatures of habit. It's still all true, though. You may have used it with your familiar having characters, but given that you can't use the familiar at all in the free version... yeah, I'm gonna stick with my "functionally useless" descriptor.

It's just a character manager for making P2e characters. It's not well designed, and without buying it, it's functionally useless for Witches, Rangers, and some Druids. It also doesn't support Homebrew of any kind. You and your father are better off using a free program, like Wanderer's Guide.

Of course! The order for Despair on Danger Island was actually cancelled when your sub was canceled. What you saw on your end was an authorization. When an order is placed, we immediately authorize your card to ensure that it can be charged when we ship your order. An authorization is a non-monetary transaction that merely checks with your bank to ensure that the card is valid and has sufficient funds. Again, no money is charged to the card until we ship your order and since the order was cancelled your payment method was never charged and the product never shipped. Thank you for responding, it is comforting to know they were successfully cancelled. However, the price for Despair on Danger Island was still withdrawn on my bank account before the cancellation went through. I can provide banking records if necessary, of course, but I was just wondering if I would be provided a refund for that, or if I could instead restart my Adventure Path subscription with that issue discounted.

Yeah, I haven't gotten any emails from Paizo in quite a while either.

I'm planning to release those images and content via the Saturday morning "This Week at Paizo" email before they hit the inter-webs, so make sure you are signed up. We have so many ancestries, heritages, and cultures now that I think we can find 52 to take us through 2021. We can only do about two blogs a day (I'd prefer 1), so that necessitates a social media campaign. So make sure you follow us on your preferred platform.

Sorry to bug you, but where can I make sure that I'm signed up to receive those emails?

I keep trying to get into my cart to remind myself what's in there(It says two items, but I was sure I purchased everything I need), but whenever I click on the icon or on "view cart", the page keeps glitching and reloading with no end.
