Maps on Roll20

HP and Leveling Up:
When leveling up, roll your hit die as normal. If you get less than half of your hit die on the roll, use half your hit die instead.

Acquiring New Equipment:
While you will have the opportunity to get new equipment from loot, you may find yourselves looking to buy new equipment, as well. To do so, you will need to adhere to the same availability, licensing, and item guidelines as those spelled out in the Recruitment, save that you will need to roll all licensing checks. Alternatively, for the licensing, you can attempt a Deception or Use Computer check to create fake licenses, but if your deception is discovered, you will suffer consequences as though the item were unlicensed. If there is a specific item you know you want for your character, please notify me so I can see if there's a way I can work the item into future loot in place of an item or items that would otherwise be sold off.

House Rules:
1. Multiclassing: When you multiclass base classes, instead of taking one of the new class's starting feats, you can choose to take the Skill Training feat in one of the new class's starting skills instead.
2. We are also using Fractional Base Attack Bonus - e.g. a Scout at level 1 has a Base Attack Bonus of +0.75, rounded down to +0. If the Scout then multiclassed Scoundrel at level 2, the Base Attack Bonus would be +1.5, rounded down to +1, as opposed to still being +0.
3. Skill Focus: Skill Focus now only gives a +3 bonus when you first take it. When you hit level 10, the bonus increases to +6.
4. Force Sensitive feat: Must be taken at 1st level.
5. Force X Talents: Any talent that allows you to substitute a Use the Force check for another skill does NOT benefit from having the Skill Focus feat for Use the Force. However, you count as being Trained in that skill for the purposes of taking the Skill Focus feat for that skill.

House ruled/Custom Droid Systems:
Taser: Many star systems prohibit Droids from carrying lethal weapons or having such systems installed without the proper permits. A Taser is a nonlethal projectile weapon that Droids can use to defend themselves. It fires two small projectiles attached to long, thin wires that deliver an electric charge that incapacitates an organic target's nervous and muscular systems. These wires have a range of 4 squares, and they deal 1d8 Stun damage. If the target is a Droid, the electric current acts like an Ion gun and interferes with the Droid's systems, dealing 1d8 Ion damage. As long as the probes remain attached to a target, the droid can use a standard action to deal damage to it as though it had successfully hit the target. However, the target can spend a swift action to remove the probes. Regardless of whether or not the probes are attached, the droid must spend a swift action to retract them before they can be fired again. The taser can also be used as a melee weapon, as an electroshock probe. When used in this manner, it counts as a light weapon. You cannot make melee attacks with the taser while the probes are attached to another target or not retracted.

Polychromatic Plating: Sometimes, the easiest way to disguise a droid is a new coat of paint. For those who would rather not take the time to paint their droids, they can purchase polychromatic plating. These are rather simple panels that simply flip, changing the droid's color scheme to a different scheme. Using them grants a +2 circumstance bonus to Deception checks to create a Deceptive Appearance for the Droid. Most droid chassis have room for up to 5 different color schemes. Each color scheme must be purchased separately, and costs 50 credits x droid cost factor.

Astrogation Buffer: This droid processor system is typically installed in astromech and piloting droids in order to ease hyperspace travel over normal routes. The astrogation buffer automatically stores all hyperspace routes the astromech calculates, up to the maximum size of the buffer. Older routes are automatically overwritten by newer routes unless the droid either chooses not to store a route or is ordered not to store a route. The droid can erase the contents of its astrogation buffer as a full-round action if its owner orders it to. If the droid has had its restraining bolt port removed, it can erase the contents of the astrogation buffer as a full-round action of its own free will. Alternatively, the astrogation buffer can be forcibly erased by a third party if they succeed on a Use Computer check with a DC equal to the droid's Will Defense. A Hidden Core has sufficient storage to back up 1 route from an astrogation buffer.

A droid with an astrogation buffer only takes a -5 penalty on a Use Computer check to calculate a hyperspace route in 1 round, provided the route is one that the droid has stored in its astrogation buffer. This droid accessory costs 200 credits for a buffer of 5 routes. This can be purchased twice for a total astrogation buffer size of 10 routes.
