Welcome to GM Garmon table of 4-12 The Refuge of Time! If you are a player, what follows in this space will be a list of policies and expectations as well as a little advice. This includes my expectations of you and what you can expect of me. I don't imagine any of us will follow these guidelines perfectly, but I ask that we all give it our best shot.

Schedule:
The goal that I will make (and expect to fall short of despite my best efforts) is two posts per day.
Morning / Before Work (7-8 AM GMT+2)
Afternoon / After Work (8-10 PM GMT)
Hopefully a schedule like that will accommodate people's schedules in any time zone, but let me know if it will be a problem.
Weekends are obviously different, and I have Fridays off work through September, inclusive. I may be able to post more frequently on those days.
We should also address what happens if people are missing posts. If I am missing posts, obviously it's a hard problem. It's on me to either take care of things or get a backup GM to help out, which there is a procedure for. If players miss a post and we're otherwise keeping up a posting rate of two times per day, we can probably wait a cycle for someone to catch up. As I noted above, however, if we fall short of one post per day this whole enterprise won't work. As a result, I'll need to take actions for players that have not posted ('bot' them) if they have not posted in the last day.
See the Botting Policy spoiler below, however.

Botting Policy:
Ideally if a player does need to be botted, the GM should not be the one doing it. That may be necessary at times, and in this environment a GM bot will be better than losing a posting cycle waiting for someone else to do it.

I'd like to ask each of you to pick a botting buddy, however: someone you trust to take your character's actions for you in the event that you cannot or have not done so yourself. This could be someone inside or outside of the game. If it is someone outside of the game, have them post with a botting avatar (it doesn't need to match your own character or have all the information your avatar will) in the Discussion thead at some point so we know it isn't some random weirdo taking your actions.

It would probably be helpful if you share contact information with your botting buddy and also if one person isn't responsible for botting more than one character.

Interactive Special GM Philosophy:
Posting Standards: I'll assume that we're all familiar with common posting standards here on the boards, so I won't reiterate those.

Although I may forget at times, my intention is to place a GM spoiler at the beginning of every post. These are not to be looked in. The point of the spoiler is to give me to roll dice privately, keep notes on monster status or other hidden events or to simply hide the fact that I am not rolling dice at all.

If there is a character death or a similarly serious event, I will give you permission to look in those spoilers so we can double-check all the math. Otherwise, they are forbidden for you.

Also, when posting your actions please include all of your relevant modifiers separately. The specific formatting isn't terribly important, but rolling your dice as:

6/8 rounds of unchained rage remaining, power attack, flanking
[dice=Attack]1d20+10+2-1+2[/dice]
[dice=Damage]2d6+9+2+3[/dice]

or

[dice=Power Attack, Rage, Flanking]1d20+10-1+2+2[/dice]
[dice=Damage]2d6+9+3+2[/dice]

is far better than:

[dice=Attack]1d20+13[/dice]
[dice=Damage]2d6+14[/dice]

Ugh...that didn't look the way I wanted it to in this space. Hopefully you get the idea.

We don't want to slow down the game for me to figure out what you did. Note that I don't require you to break down where the initial +10 came from (bab, strength, weapon focus & enhancement bonus probably) if those values will always apply. Even if you always apply power attack, please declare it each time.

Similarly, if your character is casting a spell, I'm all for people giving fancy descriptions of what your character is doing. I do insist that you actually say what spell is being cast, however. Please include the DC or other check needed if necessary, although I can look up what the results of a saving throw will be myself.
