Yeah! How many of those do I need to make?
For this particular combat, every round, due to the terrain and foliage. (Or you could hop off.) Others will depend on the situation, if you are out in the open maybe not any.
I should have remembered that, Ronk, my first character (well, post-college) was an alchemist and I was just recently playing a kobold one (although that game seems to have lapsed). I love that class.

Oh, that's awesome! (I had forgotten about her peg leg, but that's perfect!) For sheer coolness I'm awarding you an inspiration die (+d6) on your next attack.
Twitchy, we'll say this round is a successful attack and next round you have to swerve to avoid a tree and don't get another action.

"Medge look so sad. Why Medge sadness bother Flamefinger so much? Hmm...Flamefinger not likes Medges sadness. We shall take the boats!" Flamefinger thought to himself. As he opened his mouth to speak he saw the rat be flipped and held his tounge. "Sorry Medgeness. Looks like we is walkings." Flamefinger says, an oddness in his voice.
After spending his time traveling trying to figure out the wierd thoughts he has had about his comrads, he hears Medge cry out, breaking his almost trace like silence.
"Medgeness! Flamefinger yelled, clear concern in his voice. "Let her go plant thing or face Flamefingers' terribleness wraths!"

Gurp's eyes flare with a terrible fury. "You hurt my Squishy! YOU! HURT! MY! SQUISHY! YOU HAVE ALL OF THE CURSES OF THE SWAMP! OF ALL THE SWAMPS!" Gurp draws his sling, and lets loose a bullet.

Medge's ray is a little off-center, but fortunately the plant prevents a large target. It scorches the central stalk until a side of it turns black. It seems to be dying but its vine tendrils only flail faster. Gurp fires a sling bullet which thwacks into the base of the stalk. Squishy spits at the plant in reaction to her I'm guessing here. injury but the stream falls short of harming the plant.
The plant's flailing tendrils strike out, seemingly at random, this time connecting with Gurp and his slug.

Gurp ignores the pain, focusing intently on the plant and Squishy. His face contorts as he screams. "THAT ALL YOU GOT, GREEN THING?! SQUISHY EAT YOU FOR BREAKFASTLUNCH!" Gurp slaps his hand into Squishy's side, and calls upon the swamp's power to aid him(?).
Cast Guidance on Squishy.
Squishy slowly slithers out of the plant's attack range, and spits acid again.
Acid Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 touch
Acid Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Ronk swings with an animal fury and strikes the trunk, causing the entire plant to shudder. The plant seems to recover, until a splotch of slug spit hits it right at the base, causing just a bit of the root to dissolve away. The stress is too much for the plant, and the whole thing slowly topples over to hit the ground with a crash. The vines of the plant sprawl out, all the life drained out of them.
Taking liberty with the order for dramatic effect.

I forgot to say and I will strive to remember next time. Never dealt with a barbarian before.
Ronks shoulders drop and he lets out a long whine. "That was it? That!" He sighs and looking very dejected Ronk glances at the rest of the group.

Twitchy Boom Boom |

Twitchy comes down to earth on Fluffer and inspects the dead plant.
Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
And she fails a knowledge roll by the skin of her teeth...
"Ronk, you always bonk good. Did fine job on nasty bitey plant." She gives his shoulder a comforting squeeze. "Next time we fight big nasty, I want you with us all the time!"
Then she runs up to Medge, "You safe! You safe!" and gives the pirate a big hug.
"Flamefinger has fine fire mojo, too!" She eyes his finger with wary respect.
Finally she turns to Gurp. "Squishy one fierce slug! I no wanna get on his bad side."
"We best Goblin Team ever. Now, should we heal up and rest, or keep going?" She looks at her injured teammates. "Maybe better if we rest?"

"I safe! I safe!" Medge does a short victory dance. "We are the fiercest Gobs around! She walks over to the dead plant and starts to sing.
"We walk by this dumb old hedge
And it decides to eat poor old Medge
Caught my leg up in a vine,
I feel like a fish on a line!
Made me screech out from my throat
'We should have taken the dumb boat!'
But what stupid plant didn't know
Was Gobs were going to put on a show!
Twitchy flew in really fast,
Throwing bombs as she passed!
Ronk raised his stick real high
And Bonked dumb plant with a gleam in his eye!
Flamefinger showed plant his terrible wrath
And set fire to everything in his path!
Gurp and Squishy used power of swamp
Killed it dead before me it could chomp!
Plus Medge is too smart to be prey,
Took off my fake leg and got away!
Now WE are biggest, baddest things in swamp!"
She pauses. "Heeeeey, that thing still has my leg! Smart Medge always carries a spare, but won't have spare if dead plant keeps it! Where is it?" Medge starts to poke around the dead plant.

Medge finds her spare leg buried under the plant. The swamp druid points out that the plant likely has some venom that might be useful for coating weapons. Twitchy, used to working with dangerous substances, is able to harvest 1d4 ⇒ 1 dose only. Now that they are familiar with this species of plant, it should be easy to avoid them in the future.
From the position of the sun, it looks like there are still a few hours of travel left in the day.
Go ahead and take care of any healing you want to do, then give me some perception and survival rolls for the next leg of the journey.

Gurp makes sure everyone's injuries are healed and the party sets out again, following the map. The ground is firm enough to walk at a good pace, below massive trees trailing streamers of hanging moss. Flamefinger's sharp ears hear the sound of barking, which seems to be coming from up ahead. It sounds like several dogs fighting over something.

On that roll, unlikely! Wolfwaker, how far according to the map do I think we are we from our destination? Will we have to camp for the night before we get to the swampy ship?
Also, is it possible to use handle animal on wild dogs to try to make them flee? We only have 2 healing hits left on that wand!

Probably will be sometime tomorrow when you get to the destination.
As Twitchy flies up to get a better look, the barking grows louder. The dogs, downwind of you, appear to have gotten your scent. A pack of 5 or 6 dogs appears from the trees ahead. They are some 100' ahead of Twitchy and 200' ahead of the rest of the party, and coming at a run.

"Nasty dogs -- but nastier ME
Flee vile dogs, flee, flee, FLEE!"
Twitchy howls at the dogs from overhead, trying to get them away from her party.
"Flee, or get bombed! FLEE!"

I'm going to rule that you can't make hostile creatures flee that easily. But I'll let you distract them.
Twitchy swoops in low on Fluffer, and the dogs are enraged to a frenzy. They follow closely in a tightly bunched pack, oblivious that she is leading them right into an ambush from the other goblins.
Other goblins can do a couple of rounds of missile attacks, or can set up an ambush--say climbing up on logs and such to get a height advantage. Twitchy will be able to bomb them just before they arrive.

I am a fan of the ambush idea. Medge would love to jump off a log, dogslicer in hand, screaming a battle cry!

Yep, everyone got a masterwork simple weapon of their choice.
Twitchy swoops in low and leads the dogs on a chase right into a copse of trees where the other goblins are waiting. Just before they arrive, she tosses a bomb which hits the center dog and splashes onto several of the others. As they arrive, you can see that they are filthy, disgusting, stinking creatures. Chaos ensues and the air is filled with the sound of their incessant barking. The lead dog is twice as large as the other dogs, who appear gaunt and hungry. Ronk leaps down and delivers a solid blow to the head of the lead dog, but it lunges for him as the other dogs spread out to encircle the goblins.

Gurp moves behind Squishy, and shoots at the biggest dog.
Sling Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Meanwhile, Squishy charges full throttle at the nearest dog and lashes out with his tongue.

The dog Squishy hits peels off and flees.
Flamefinger fires a ray of flame at the lead dog and burns it on the nose, as the dogs arrive and start biting at whatever they can reach, spreading out around the goblins in a mass of stinking wet fur and sharp teeth. Medge takes a bite to the arm Gurp takes one in the leg.

Twitchy lands and shoots with her crossbow, striking true in the big lead dog's side, but he fights on. Medge's dogslicer is true to its name, cutting a large gash in the side of one of the stinking animals, and causing it to keel over. Ronk tries to smash a dog in the head but only hits a tree branch. Gurp's shot is wild and overshoots by a long shot. The big slug tries to get one but is too slow. The remaining four dogs continue to snap at the goblins and the slug, with one of them running up to Twitchy to nip at her.
