You have been sent to help with a problem that has been encountered by the remote village of Rhiannon. Although you wouldn’t normally accept such jobs, things have been slow of late, and your Guild (The Brotherhood of Silence) has been encouraging you to find work so you can pay your Guild dues.
Arriving late in the afternoon, you learn quickly that something is indeed amiss. Much of the town has been burned and looted. Many of the townspeople sit huddled outside the burned out husks of their homes. Cook fires and temporary lien two’s litter the dirt roads. The Rooster Crow Inn at the center of town, built of stone, is the only building that looks to be mainly untouched.
Upon meeting the town council inside, you find out more of the detail regarding the challenges that they have faced. Mayor Fellstone and his fellow citizens were outraged after the attack, and formed a party from the town’s surviving guards to track the raiders back to their lair so that it might be assaulted. To their surprise and grief, the tracks led to Lord Kent’s keep.
