While following them Pyrrhus thinks about the rumors he heard so far. "I think almost all the shops have been targeted so far and only them, which is kind of curious... there are a couple houses that could have more goods to make a profit than the shops..."

Pyrrhus shrugs. "But I'm no thief so maybe this is way this doesn't make sense to me..."

Zel sees that more and more people are entering the tavern. He decides that it is time to head home as he picks up his things and head out the door. Once in the streets he notices that it is pretty crowded and he tries his best to not bump into people. He swirls around while trying to avoid a group of halflings and collides with some person and
Pyrrhus
dropping some of his papers he bends over to pick them up...
Ugh..oh. Excuse me. I am sorry, did not see you there.
Zel looks up at the person he is talking to and stand up straight and looks at the group of people standing in the middle of the street.
hmmm. So you just came from the church then. If you do not mind me asking what jobs have they sent you on this year. Pointing at the church scroll, he steps back to take in the whole group.

-Of course. Tipene explains patiently.

-I honestly believe they have been a bit too generous. First, we need to investigate some thefts here in the local shops. Then we'll head out of the walls to try to solve some things at local farms.

Tipene then thinks better and asks the stranger.

-By the way, do you know anything about...?

Pyrrhus laughs at the old man. "Well, I suppose there is a first time for everything! Never in my life I have heard 'did not see you there'!" Pyrrhus laughs once more before looking ahead in the street, sighing.

"There are too many people around... come, it looks like Like is not around here but I think I can see his ridiculous hat in front of my Forge! Come, I'll clear the way..." Pyrrhus moves ahead, using his size in an intimidating stance to usher people to open way for them. "Moving on people, moving on... I'd hate to step on you..."

Sorry, I'm usually better at this, lady and gentlemen. Brains still asleep, didn't sleep very well last night. I am still good for an investigation, but it will have to be more in-depth than me simply searching my brain. Not to be rude to anyone, but I am still unclear on who you all are. It's nice to meet you, Sir. This is my first time to the city and i'm still a bit awestruck. Sierra pauses a moment. We have a list of names of people that have been stolen from. We've been sent to find the thief, which is why we thought you could help us. She glances around, then shyly looks at her feet.

Male Halfing

It is a pleasure to meet you Mr. Lundington. As well with you miss. I must admit I have not seen the details of this case before. Never the less, I am on the case. It would be no trouble at all to help out. Since you are in the company of Pyrrhus and Tipene, I will even aid in this case for free, not that money has ever been an issue.

Liek will take a look at the list, and try to see if he can gleam anything from it.

prof. Detective: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Female Drow Cleric/1

after a look at the list you are aware that they are all merchants and that all of them are located on the main street. In fact the other tidbit you gleam is that they all are in order of the street, meaning there are only two stores that have Not yet been hit and one in fact is the one your now standing in

Human Brawler 1 | HP: 9/12 | AC: 18 (12 Tch, 16 Fl) | CMB: +5, CMD: 16 | F: +3, R: +4, W: +3 | Init: +2 | Perc: +6, SM: +6 | Martial Flex 3/4

-Mmmm... perhaps we should ask the other store which hasn't been hit yet? In this case, I guess they fear the owner...

Male Halfing

Or they are planning to strike. The fact that they haven't yet means little. We should concentrate on the known, and let this other shop keeper know to up security
I recommend while on this case we base ourselves here so we are prepared to catch the thief if they hit here. We need to remain vigilant. If this thief is plotting the next move, then they will undoubtedly be watching, so keep an eye out for anyone who is either watching one if these two shops or someone who passes by frequently.

Liek smiles as he explains this, mentally pelreparing to catch a thief.

Male Human Theurge 1

Zel looks at each and every person here in the shop. Looks them up and down slowly. Tilts his head to the side sometimes.
Clears his throat.
Please excuse my words as they are just that..words, and not meant to offend or cause grief. It is wise council this young halfling offers. I agree with his assessment of this unusual situation. I am to assume that since all here are being welcomed into the situation that we are forming an alliance of sort. I just bumped into a man on the street and now I am here listening to your words so I guess I am involved one way or another. Besides I do love a good mystery.
Hmmm

He pulls out a small book, ink and a quill. Looking around for a spot to sit the book.
I think that if we are going to move forward with these...uhmm..quests. We should get to know each other a little better and that way we know what each and everyone of us is capable of. Knowledge is the best tools to have when it comes to quests.
he looks at pyrrhus...
not the only tool mind you but the best to have
clearing his throat again
I will start to hopefully put all at ease.

DM, I did not understand what you mean about 'upgrading weapons'... you mean they became masterwork quality? I'm not complaining but it seems a lot for just a check, even on a nat 20.

Moving his eyes from his working and 'taking care' of the weapons presented to him, Pyrrhus addressed the old man.

"Well, I'm Pyrrhus but I guess you already knew that..." He points to a small wooden sign at the wall of his shop with his name. Sierra had been listening to the others introduce themselves. She really hates to make introductions, so she was waiting until the end.
Before she got the chance, there was a call of thief and everyone went running outside to look.
Looking for the thief suited Sierra just fine.
Being short, she didn't think she would be able to see as well as the others but then she remembered that this was a halfling town. Shorter than her was common.
As she looks up and down the street, Sierra catches a glimpse of someone that might be the thief running towards the church. She calls out to the group, pointing the way she saw the shady fellow go. Look, over there running towards the church. Come on, I bet that's the guy. Not knowing excatly why she thinks its the thief, Sierra takes off at a run anyways, expecting her companions to follow her.
Stopping at a side street, she waits until everyone is with her. They turned left down this side street. But i'm not sure where they went from there.

By the everyone had made it to the alley where the thief had turn down, no one could seem to see the thief in the general area. There are rows and rows of buildings, some of them two story tall. It is a darker section of the small but growing town. Some of these buildings are known to be empty as it is still under development. There has been much debate on making the section homes, or for commerce. Perhaps both is most likely to come to pass.

As it stands only ten percent of the buildings are actually in known use. There is not much in the way of light, as the buildings tend to block the sunlight through the alley ways that run throughout the buildings. The streets are dry and hard as there hasn't been much rain in the last few days.

"Well, if there was a part of Tykren in which one needed a hangout, this would be it," spoke Parnell.

As you look around you notice several things that are of high quality craft. You might even consider some pieces to be borderline master quality. Yet nothing here seems to give off any particular glow about it. Which in reality doesn't surprise you, as from all the knowledge you have gained about magic, it doesn't seem to like to part with the mountains.

Female Drow Cleric/1

Parnell- You are unable to see any foot prints to guide yourself with.

Tipene- Okay you head back through the crowd and seek out the merchant who shouted Thief.

You find yourself in front of a street stall called "Home and Hearth", ran by a little old halfling female. And just as the title eludes to you can find just about anything one might need for your home here.

The little elder lady sees you approach and speaks in a gingerly tone, "Yes lad, what might I help you find this lovely day? Hmm, by the look of ye, I think you might need a traveling tent...I think I have one of those around here...." She begins to search for you.
