Batton Wycomb is the largest human fortification located on Acetamentum (the most remote of the Collumbin Empires military hegemony). The city is vast and so are the resources that it pulls from the nearby foothills, rivers and plateaus.
During the day the vast are unbarred and thrown open so that it peoples can work the nearby farmland, harvest wood from the nearby woods, fish from the rivers and lakes and pull ore from the mines. When night begins to fall they retreat back with in the walls. In the darkness they here grunting, howling and torturous screams as the monsters crawl over the landscape.
