Amelie's great. Check out _A Very Long Engagement_ and _Dirty Pretty Things_ for two other good Tautou movies.
Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain is one of my top five films. I watched it when I came out, and have watched it about twice a year since.
It is a mystery to me how it is there are adults that have not yet seen it. :D

If you're French - the way it's spelled, of course. ;)
If you were Swedish I'd describe it as Tåto - with short å and a long o. :p
But since I'm guessing you'd prefer an English approximation I'd say the "au" is pronounced as in "tall" (supposing you don't speak a dialect where this is pronounced very clipped) and ou as the "o" in "hold" or "morning."
I'm french (canadian)... I always pronounced it Tow-two (Tow as in tow truck, and two as in the number two).
And yes, it's a real gem of a movie. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone...
