Damian was a handsome man in his early thirties at his commission as the leader of the Skyknights. After a trip through the Everywhen, he now is in his mid-forties. His hair is blond and cut short, with several gray streaks. He appears well-groomed and well-dressed, but in a fastidious way rather than to impress. His mithril armor, a gift from Iomedae, is well-polished and shines brightly. Atop his griffon, he wields a powerful lance, built with a handle that allows him to use both hands to control it. If on foot, he has a longsword and a shield emblazoned with a Silver Flame. This shield serves as a banner for all those who look on it; when riding, he wears it on his back so that those behind him can be inspired as he leads the charge.

Sir Damian Lamorak had all the makings of a paladin: he was brave, loyal, disciplined, strong. The one thing he lacked was the divine blessing of Iomedae's grace, something that pained him greatly. Instead as training as a paladin, he served as a squire and later a knight in the Order of the Silver Flame, a knightly order used as a supplementary force for the paladine. He proved himself a capable knight, promoted the aerial contingent of the Order. Sent to Izmir on the order of the First Knight Protector, he was named the leader of the Skyknights and later promoted to Captain in Izmir's Third Army.

Chivalrous and pious, Damian was a shining example of what a knight should be. He is very disciplined and sometimes single-minded in pursuit of a goal. After returning from the Everywhen, Damian is far more pragmatic and hard-edged, capable of making difficult decisions with little regard for their human cost, least of all to himself.
