Galvanizing Presence: The presence of a Commissar is enough to instill fear into the hearts of all guardsman in his vicinity. Often this fear is greater than the fear of many fearsome foe the guardsmen my face during their struggle for the Emperor.

The Commissar counts as having the Fear(2) trait for the purpose of applying the Terrify special use of the Command Intimidate skill.

In addition, the Terrify special use will affect all members of a squad.

History and Background::

Previously working as a Master at Arms and regimental commissar for a vain nobleman's personal household guard regiment, Ludicus Marleno was wounded in combat while protecting the lords progeny.

As thanks for saving his heir, the noble lord "generously" provided a replacement for the eyes Commissar Marleno had lost during the combat.
Relations had soured however, mostly due to the battle taking place thanks to the lords ineptitude.

This was enough that the Commissar was more than willing to be transferred to a front line regiment, just to escape the "odious presence of a malodorous cretin that sours the emperor's air".

These days, the unblinking gaze of Commissar Marleno's obviously cybernetic eyes watches the Serenus 1st troopers, being sure to step in when moral is flagging.

The fact that he held the position as Man At Arms seem to have rubbed at least one officer the wrong way however, who has made it his mission to make sure that the title is remembered, but in a more mocking manner.

Meanwhile, the troopers sometimes find his unblinking gaze unnerving, referring to him as "old glinteye".

The fact that he insists on wearing his old uniform, one dark red in color rather than black like the other commissars make him stand out more.

However, his presence tend to be more welcome than unwanted, as he is the sort of man that possesses a larger than personality.
That and the fact that he has a VERY low record of "BLAMMING" soldiers.
