Growing up in a brothel with his mother, Jack had the same prospects as the other kids there. Becoming a prostitute and praising Calistra, however he never felt too attached to the deity of vengeance and instead wanted to protect the innocent, but also continue being a prostitute.
After his mother died and he retired to his room he played to any god that was listen that he wanted vengence, but also the safety of others. Calistra never answered him, but Lymnieris did.
He learnt that he can protect others and help defend those who, unlike him, aren't given a choice in this profession and if he praised this new lord, he'd be given powers like any other Paladins, but will continue his profession.
The next day the killer was cut down by a paladin who was after this killer for sometime. He saw this as a sign and spent his spare time when not servicing women and men to study religion, though he wasn't very good at it and training himself for both his profession and to wear heavy armour and use a wide array of weapons.
