Because Cologne WAS completely hammered yesterday, there is now time to write back and say HELLO to you all :).
Thanks a lot for the very nice welcome here and especially to Mike Brock who had to go through my questionnaire with a lot of bad English, I think :D.
And also I have to thank Marcus Gföller, VC from Düsseldorf, Germany, for answering a lot of questions from me (and from now on, there will be a TONS MORE to come... from me..to you... I´ll be your Padawan :D.
And of course there is Paizo and Ulisses to thank for creating, developing and publishing one of the best games ever ;).
Oh boy, time to begin reading A LOT :D.
Also I will be starting this week to build up at least a Facebook-Page for my region, which is destinated in the west of Germany, roughly about 60 miles south-west from Düsseldorf, where the next VC has his "HQ". To know how it looks like here... imagine The Shire with a supermarket in Bree :D ... some little villages here (around 3000 people), Aachen and Cologne the nearest cities, about 10 and 30 miles away. Sitting in Aachen for the PFS will be like sitting in Rivendell, waiting for the council to begin when everybody from regions around will arrive :D.
I´m Markus (also :) ), 34 years old (1979) and I´m into tabletop - RPGs since 1989 and started to play AD&D II (Dragonlance, Dark Sun) and Shadowrun 2 most of the time. Besides that there were some other games I´ve played a several years and stayed with Shadowrun and Earthdawn as a Game Master since 1995.
I had to pause playing RPG for a few years and returned with Pathfinder a year ago (because everybody was talking about it ;) ) and it became my new "main game" and because of the German and international community and also because of the way the game is presented, I like that a lot with all the additional books so that every Game Master can build up "his/her world" as lively as possible.
My HQ will be "Die Würfelkiste" (The Dicebox) http://www.wuerfelkiste.de/ in Aachen and for Cologne I will be talking to the guys of the "Brave New World" http://www.bravenewworld.biz/website/index.php .
I became a Game Master back in the days, because I love to present stories to interested people, whether there are self-written or ready to play, so I´m really looking forward to this whole PFS-thing :). And as an Archaeologist in "the real world", it´s my job to imagine how a world was and how it felt like; that thoughts I want to transport into the game and nearly 20 years of gamemastering proved me I´m right doing things like I did and do :).
I don´t want to prattle much more so if there are questions I´ll answer them as quick as possible !
