BACKGROUND

Spoiler:
Living on the docks of Sandpoint with only an alcoholic father for guidance, Dexx grew up with an obsession for all things sharp and deadly. He learned to deal with the sight of spilled blood at a young age and never minded wrapping a bandage when need be. Clean and fresh for the dock workers, grubby and previously used to sop up ale for the fools who got themselves cut open during a drunken fight. In these moments of bandaging a bloodied arm or leg is when Dexx took his tentative first reaches into someone else's pockets. His small halfling hands aided by a childhood dodging wagons, big folk and climbing up and down ship riggings.

Regular trips out into the swamps surrounding Sandpoint is where Dexx picked up his ability to speak Goblin. They may have a thing against writing but they can't be all bad if they enjoy fireworks so much.

Dexx's obsession with knives is what brought him around to religion and realizing there was more to healing than wrapping a bandage around a bleeding wound. One day setting his eyes on a beautifully gleaming starknife he realized the owner was an even more beautiful human priestess. All the days following her around the streets of Sandpoint he never worked up the courage to speak with her but after she left town he kept going back to the small temple dedicated to Desna. He learned to pray to the Goddess and practiced with the four-bladed starknife.

Now his obsessive personality is taking him away from the grimy docks of Sandpoint. The small temple can take care of converting the dock workers; Dexx is set on making sure the rest of the Inner Sea and Golarion know the majesty of the starknife ... and Desna.
