Character:

Background

Cervin was to a Taldan hunting family and grew up with a bow and arrow in his hands. The Verduran Forest is his original home, and he was raised within earshot of the gnomish settlement Wispil where his family conducted trade with the small folk.

Although a skilled archer and brave in battle against the dangerous creatures of the wood, Cervin was headstrong, reckless, and a mediocre woodsman at best. His wanderlust and curiosity were also problematic as he would disappear for days at at time with no warning. After a dangerous tangle with an ettercap that almost lead to his sister's death, he took his cue and bid farewell to his family.

It has been a year since Cervin left home to explore Taldor. During his travels, he met a priestess of Erastil in a small village named Ysania. They developed an immediate rapport, and Cervin stayed for many months with Ysania who taught him about Erastil. It was here the aimless Cervin found his cause, and he has since been utterly devoted to Erastil and his ideals. After many months, Cervin's wanderlust took over, and he bid farewell to Ysania.

Since then, Cervin's travels have been with a purpose - to be as caretaker for the land and the people that dwell in it. He has gone from community to community and simply helped out, whether it be rebuilding a barn, preaching from the heart to the hopeless, or fighting back against bandits or worse. His headstrong attitude and tendency to act before thinking has often caused him more trouble than necessary, but his devotion and bravery have kept him alive thus far.

Cervin has made several enemies during his travels as well, as he takes particular ire to corrupt or complacent authority figures, going so far as to lead one town to oust their own mayor who has sworn revenge. He disdains cities, politics, and the nobility of Taldor and has done his best to focus on rural areas.

Most recently, Cervin has arrived at the town of Heldren. There, he has been assisting around the local temple and getting to know the community.

Personality: Cervin is cheerful, lighthearted, and obsessively religious. His devotion to his God and Erastil's ideals are absolute, which can make him seem stiff and unyielding to others. Conversely, he is excitable and easily distracted. His talents and faith have served him well thus far, and he is likely to dive headfirst into dangerous situations, trusting in his faith and bravery to win the day.

Appearance

Cervin is slender and wiry, standing around 5'9. He has a sort of boyish face aged a little bit by a short beard and a variety of small scars over his bronze complexion. His hair is shoulder length and brown, perpetually messy. He dresses in plain clothing covered by studded leather armour.
