Backstory!
Cyrus grew up in a modest household in a trade city. His father is an influential merchant who wanted nothing more than the gifts his hard work had granted him. His eldest son Cyrus however had no desire to continue the shipping business his father had built from the ground up. Cyrus felt he had no purpose, no drive and no future in his life for “Vance Shipping Industries.” One fateful day as he was attending the weekly mass, a sentence seemed to resonant within him. ”Now go my child and sow the seed of goodness within the hearts of those around you.” When he returned home, he informed his father of his decision to join the clergy.

Cyrus Vance, a man of twenty four seasons, had never intended to come to Blue Shell. As fate would have it however, Blue Shell it was since the rabid townsfolk of the last seaside village Cyrus had visited had some rather deep set and disturbing beliefs. When he had arrived, driven by the same wanderlust and a desire to help others that brought him to Blue Shell, he found practice of ritual sacrifice, inbreeding and other general debaucherous horrors. Attempts to shift the villagers back on the path of virtue were rebuffed and eventually ended with him being thrown back onto the ship he came on bound and gagged. Blue Shell ended up the next stop.
